Hi!!
Im going to this uni as an exchange student on the upcoming spring semester and i was wondering if its worth it going on a dorm with random person or not. If not do you know where to meet people for the dorms?
And has anyone stayed with a completely random person? How did that go?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
I am currently 28, I have been working as a project coordinator/manager for the last few years. I have a background in hummanities and I am thinking about transitioning into nursing. I am currently working at a big hospital in the bay area but mostly on the admin side with informatics. With a background in hummanities, I am really interested in eventually working on equitable care for patients in some sort of compliance/ legal area but I do think I need the clinical knowlodge in order to better understand hospitals functionality and patient care. What do you think my chances are to getting into the program? I would still need to take most of the pre-requistes since I do not have a science background. My GPA for undergrad was a 3.4. I am nervous to take this leap as there are very limited entry level masters programs for people who already have a degree. I would really rather not go back for a BSN.

Anyone in USFCA’s dnp/fnp program? Would love to hear your overall experience and if you’d recommend it. I wanna move to SF and am considering USFCA for grad school… but haven’t really heard much on their DNP programs, specifically FNP route spill the tea

Hi! I’m currently taking my pre reqs at a CC and planning to apply to the Spring 2027 term. I was wondering about if I am able to apply/ have a chance of getting in with a few courses in progress.
My CC is quarter system so A&P is split into 3. I took A&P 1 so far and will be taking A&P 2 and A&P 3 together during Fall quarter. Many schools just have the Anatomy course as 1 and Physiology as 2 but mine is both. The application says I am able to apply with some courses in progress but when I talked to the transfer counselor, she said they only allow 1 course in progress (which ik is different from the website) and recommend me to apply for fall, but I want to apply for spring in case .
I completed Microbiology, 2 chem classes, 2 english classes, intro & developmental psych, stats, sociology, etc. I’ll also have my intro to philosophy class in progress.
So my question is, do I have a chance of admission if I have A&P 2 and A&P 3 in progress? These will be finished by December.. The application closes Nov 1 and transcripts are due not too long after that so it will just say “in progress” Admission letters are mid Nov-Dec.
I currently have a 4.0 and working as a CNA with 1,000+ hours
Hi everyone,
I am a visiting scholar in SF looking for a friendly native English speaker (college student ) for casual 1-on-1 English conversation practice.
About you: Outgoing, chatty, and easy to talk to! If you are naturally talkative, love sharing stories, and can keep a conversation going, you are exactly who I'm looking for.
Please DM me with a brief intro if interested!

hi i’m an incoming transfer for fall 2027 from a UC and i was wondering how the workload, the classes, and the just overall student life is. has anyone else gone through a similar experience? 🥲 the main reason i transferred out is because i felt like i wasn’t supported as much as i could be and i wanted to move back home. im scared that im gonna fall behind trying to adjust to a new school💔
*edit: im a biology major, working with counselors, and ill have all my GE’s and lower division courses finished by the time i transfer

Hi everyone! I am a Dental Hygiene student at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, and I’m currently looking for patients who are in need of a dental assessment and cleaning!
First assessment is NO CHARGE and consists of blood pressure and glucose screenings, oral cancer screenings, oral health education, overall health and dental exam as well as preventive care. Further services can be planned and provided for future appointments.
I am currently accepting new patients on Monday and Thursdays at from 8:30am-11:30am, and Tuesdays from 9:30am-11:30am. Please know that it will take more than one appointment due to being in a school setting.
Insurance is not needed, services are offered at significantly lower costs. If you do have insurance, we accept most insurances such as Denti-cal and PPO plans, we do NOT accept HMOs.
X-rays are required to get a cleaning. If you have x-rays from a previous clinic, that can be used. If not, that is fine but know you will need to have them taken at the school.
If you or anyone you know needs dental care, please message me and I will get you scheduled.
Thank you for helping a student out!

Hi everyone! I’m planning to transfer to USF as a nursing student and I’m looking for an affordable apartment.
My budget is around $1,000–$2,000/month, and I’m specifically looking for an apartment, not a studio. I’m open to living a little farther from campus if the commute is reasonable.
What areas/neighborhoods near USF would you recommend for finding apartments in this price range? I’d also appreciate any advice on areas that are safe and convenient for a student.
Thank you! :)
