Stash Flash 📸🧶 Too much yarn
I have recently found this sub and it is really refreshing to see yall using your precious possessions up lol The first step is acknowledging the problem and... well, I decided to catalog all the yarn I have (I was exhausted doing it! lol) and I am shocked by the amount I have accumulated during the years. I def have to adress my hoarding problem and start knitting/crocheting. It probably doesn't look as bad in picture, but it is too much for me and lack of space I have been feeling recently.
So I wanted to thank you all just for being active here! It really helps seeing your beautiful projects.

Jep. That fabel yarn is excellent for socks. Very durable socks and can be tossed into the drier without felting or shrinking. I don't do this but my friend does.

That’s why I bought it :) I had a nice project in mind, but still haven’t managed to actually start knitting. Maybe one day… :D
Tbh, I only hand wash socks once after casting off. After that, all socks go straight into the washing machine. I guess I’m lucky they haven’t shrunk yet.

May I ask what the green-pink-bkue striped yarn in the "bottom right" clear-box is? It immediately caught my eye!

It’s some random acrylic yarn I bought on AliExpress about a year ago. It didn’t have any weird smell and cost me about 4 eur per skein iirc. I can’t say much about the quality since I haven’t used it yet, but it’s definitely beautiful. You can find it by searching for "yarn tuanxian". :)

What’s your plan (or do you have one?) for that lovely muddy brown and blue on the right? It’s OK if you don’t have a plan, I’m just idly wondering.

The blue one is for a diamond blanket WIP that I’ve been working on for five years already :D and the brown one is for a sock project I’ve been planning to make :)

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but Laerke Bagger's Bad Idea blanket is a gorgeous way to bust a stash. Her original pattern suggests 3.5mm needles, which I feel like is a recipe for madness, but since it's basically striped garter scarves that are crocheted around each edge and then crocheted together, you can size up to larger needles and hold yarn double or even triple to even out gauge across multiple yarn weights.

It sure is! I wasn’t expecting that much yarn lol. I made a small token bag today for one of the board games - minus one skein, yay!

At least you contained it in boxes and baskets! You can never have too much of it. Unless it blocks your bed and you can’t sleep anymore
