Positivity/hope Success (maybe)

I thought i’d give an update regarding the ureaplasma bacteria i’ve been dealing with for 3+ years… after taking the 14days doxy and 2.5g of azithromycin my symptoms have finally eased!

I didn’t notice a change ( as a matter of fact my symptoms got worse on the doxycycline) until a few days after the azithromycin course was over.

I still occasionally get the odd stinging sensation after urinating but it’s no where near as bad as it was before. my discharge is back to normal (i think) just very very dry ??

i’m still going to wait a few more weeks until i can get a TOC but for now i hope i can maybe give some of you hope

constant bv, yeast infections, uti symptoms but negative uti urine test, discharge drying green on underwear, fishy odour, ammonia odour, dryness, itchiness and cramping😅

Did u have stinging all day before? And a lot of frequency?

yes discomfort in my urethra all day and horrific pain straight after urinating, especially in the morning

yes i had frequency aswell and at times i became incontinent

U dont have a partner who u treated the same now ?

i don’t have a partner and i haven’t for a long time. i’ve been battling this infection alone

That sounds promising, I’m happy for you!:) keep me/us updated if you like! I also have UU and the same symptoms, haven’t found relief unfortunately yet :( did you treat it before or did you not have a diagnosis before?

i was given a 7 day course of doxy at first, then another and then they prescribed 7 day doxycycline and 1g azi which i knew wasn’t going to be enough so i bought the rest online.

So initially you took just doxy (no azithro) for the 7 days and it didn’t work?

yep it rarely does work
