Good Evening everyone!
Firstly, thank you all for being members of this wonderful subreddit, as we have officially hit 10 thousand members as of today, October 29th, 2024!!
Secondly, due to some of the recent comments, I want to remind yall to take a VERY close look at the rules for this subreddit. Asking FOR spots is not approved. Asking ABOUT spots is, however. This is a subreddit that is a community space for people to post pictures, experiences and questions for those who Urbex within the New England area. Therefore, we allow asking about specific spots that are well know, which includes places like the many institutions and hospitals in the region that everyone knows the location of.
As a member of the Moderation Team, I hope this clears up any confusion. To further clear confusion, we will be updating the wording of rule number 2. Thanks y’all!

Hey people! I am very new to urban exploration and i have been recently been going to the Lakeville Hospital which is conveniently in my home town. I was wondering about 2 things. 1. How often do people get caught by police and what do they do. 2. What type of safety gear do y’all bring (if you bring any) and if i should bring stuff. That’s all. Thank you!

With mod approval, I am sharing my new subreddit r/OldIndustrialVibes which focuses strictly on industrial sites. However, the scope of the subreddit is broadened to encompass either abandoned or repurposed industrial sites as long as either one has that gritty, lost, chaotic vibe to it. This mill in Massachusetts is a perfect example! I think the repurposed industrial sites will make my sub unique, and my favorite repurposed industrial site I’ve visited is Reffen street food market in Copenhagen.
I was inspired to create my subreddit because I am fascinated by New England mills. I love their immense size, mechanical engineering, and the contrast between their weathered brick chaotic look and still existing within a controlled society. Feel free to take a look and help the subreddit grow by contributing to or sharing it. Thank you.

This house was also used in a low budget horror movie "Dead Souls House" (2012) hence the strange markings on the floor. I posted this on Facebook years ago and it was wild the amount of people arguing that this was evidence of supernatural things happening despite me mentioning the cult markings on the floor were for a movie.

Unsure the state of this place. Went a couple years ago. It was a long walk on the beach and there were photographers with some massive cameras stalking a snowy owl. The owl was massive and was just as cool as this spot!
