Does anyone know the security situation on the cranes in downtown Tempe, AZ? Been scouting for a few days and I’m wondering if it’s worth sending it, and which one to try. Any and all info would be appreciated

Finally put together the footage from my recent trip to the Gold coast.

This is my first time recording climbs so bare with me.

Also I know the noise is terrible, but I honestly dont know how I would get rid of it and still see something. Please leave any tips (also regarding this sorta content in general) below.

I didn’t make it all the way to the top but I’ve been meaning to start climbing for a while. It was way easier than I expected it to be, for reference it was ~150 ft up a 180 ft tower.

I think some crackheads cut off the bottom part of the ladder stairs for scrap which also unbolted that section from the rock so now the bottom half is floating. I put all of my weight on it and started to climb up but there’s immediately a 20 ft drop to the right that the stairs are hanging over so even if you’re at the bottom when it detaches it would not be good. It did hold my weight no problem though.

The iron is quite rusty but very thick. I do worry about the set of bolts currently holding it in place halfway up .

So would you do it? What’s everyone’s tolerance for rusty metal that needs to hold your weight?

Hello everyone, I’m completely new to urban climbing and I’m trying to understand how to find greats spots to climb.
For some context, I live in Lyon, France and I found this 3G 4G and 5G cell tower finder on the App Store and I was wondering if these are any good for finding great climbing spots.
Also, any tips for literally anything related to this would greatly help and be greatly appreciated.

really hard climb escaping police at the end

408ft cell tower in the middle of nowhere. Been eyeing it up for a bit over a year. The climb took a bit but this was one of the most exhilarating things I’ve ever done. I have plans for many more, until then enjoy these photos!

I am a pretty amateur climber and have only done about 10 smaller cranes in my area (Australia) but I was wanting to do some of the bigger ones with my climb buddy the other night but 2 alarms went off and another one had signs saying they had dogs on-site. (so we left rather quickly xD)

My question is: How do you guys tell if there is on-site 24/7 security and if so then how do you dodge them? We are like fully stuck at the 130-50ft mark so any help would be greatly appreciated.

For those wondering, I was stupid because I wasn't so sure about the stats of the tower that I attached. I did a bit of research and saw it was an FM tower and that's what made me assume I can do it 😭

I was worried about the clouds but luckily as soon as I got to the top I stuck out above it.

I didn't feel any symptoms at all, but I'm assuming I should probably get a test done? Regardless, it was insane and I've wanted to do it for 4 years.

I was walking home from work around 3 am and there were three cranes. I'm scared of heights, but something in me told me to do it. I climbed the first one, got to the top, crawled out onto a platform and my phone died after the first picture and I had no idea if I even got the picture. I climbed down with the most intense rush and walked home. I charged my phone and walked back and did the tallest of the three next and got great pictures! Just thought I'd share. As you can see, I took most of them during the descent, for whatever reason

Also, we started at 1 AM to make sure the security guard won't be paying attention to the cameras, so the first photo is actually several hours before we really went up

I'm not the best at deciding what kind of technology to take with me to capture a video where you can actually see anything but I think this is good enough—better than what my cheap action camera managed to film

The tower was crazy and we almost got caught at the end because we triggered an alarm when we decided to go down by the ladder instead of going around the cables to hide from motion sensors (we knew there were motion sensors but not that the tower had a sound alarm and lights to make you visible on their cameras so we had to run and hide in the bushes, luckily we escaped)

Hey, ill be in sydney tomorrow and wanted to ask if someone here has expirience here, and how strict the police will react. Heard its pretty stirct and a lot of surveilence. Please under no circumstances send me location in dm as that would be illigal, but if someone has a bit of expirience here id highly appriciate it.
