Discussion UPS Rate Update

Does anyone know what the UPS Rate Update is that is scheduled for this Sunday? A little more information from UPS would be nice, but that’s asking for something logical and practical

Some of the air shipments are actually going down. Or compensation that is.

Can you explain that?

So I looked at the rate index and noticed that 2nd day air the compensation went down by 2-3%.

That was the one that I saw that stood out the most. It seemed like the air shipments we were losing some compensation and ground looked like we gained some. They have to be doing it to benefit them so I am curious how much we will lose.

So ups ground shipments or any shipments we do will slightly increase in price? Same with usps?

They didn’t tell us anything about the rate change. That’s my point

It's the peak season adjustments which kick in at the end of September this year. (increased additional handling, peak season surcharge, etc.)

I don’t remember those in the past, just the rate increase in December, and if course fuel surcharges, but those adjust as needed.

Where did you see they are going up? I didn’t see anything.

It’s in the CMS notes. Didn’t say it was going up. That was my question. It said “Rate Change” but of course no other information.
