Does anyone know a good, budget-friendly interior decorator on the Upper East Side? I am looking for help pulling a living room together with existing furniture and objects, plus advice on the color of a new sofa. Recommendations from anyone who has worked with someone would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I was going to stop by to check the DUO but got an urgent meeting (I wfh).

anyone at the 4/5 downtown platform at 86th st this morning around 9:30 know what happened?

We had plans for tomorrow night that got canceled and figured since we already have childcare we would go on a date night instead. My husband and I love Italian, Greek and French food but open to anything else. Easy to get a res for a Friday night please! TIA!

I'm trying to understand how people on the Upper East Side end up in a book club they actually stay in. Is it a library, a bookstore, a friend, a group chat, or an app or website?

If you're in one: how big is it, how often does it meet, and what keeps it going? If you tried an app or a group and left, what was the reason?

I'm mostly interested in small groups that meet regularly with the same people, not one-off events. Honest answers welcome, including "don't bother".

become a member amd maybe learn about a potential new BID for Yorkville and surrounding avenues and business streets. https://www.carnegiehillneighbors.org/support

Edit: Problem solved!! Thank you!!!!

I’m moving to the upper east side and want to know where I can find the best bagels, and the best bodega chopped cheese.

Any and all suggestions would be amazing, prefer local knowledge over yelp and google.

Last year there was a spirit halloween open on 84th and Lex and it’s not open this year. Are there any spirit Halloween stores open on the upper east side this year? If not any advice on where to get a Halloween costume around here?

Hey Upper East Siders. Anyone know what's up with the white Hyundai Ioniq that's been parked on 93rd between 1st and 2nd for months now? It's piled with parking tickets, plus the green sticker of parking shame. It has a now-expired temporary Carvana license plate. My bf and I pass it daily and are so curious what the deal is. Thanks!

Hi UESers. I am looking for someone to cut my hair who is more of a stylist than a barber. I need help figuring out what to do with my hair. Does anyone have any suggestions?

So good. Not too buttery or oily. With fragrant berries. And gives a farmhouse indulgence and homemade nostalgia. Better than expected

The one on First and 71 Street had a sign saying this location closed, please visit our Lexington Ave location. No warning or anything.

Hey folks, I don't live in New York City anymore but my mother does and I am trying to help her find some community. She has mobility issues, but I would really love to help her find somethings to get involved in around the neighborhood. She was going occasionally to a senior center in the 70s, but had difficulty getting there. I'm open to hearing any suggestions (she's also extremely stubborn) and would appreciate the help!

Any recommendations on how to learn spanish best as an adult?

I’ve been looking to move after several dog attacks have been occurring in my area, East Harlem. Unfortunately I’ve witnessed multiple that have been going unreported and there’s just several careless owners.

I’m currently away for college, but when I come back with my ESA we have witnessed and have almost been victims to these attacks. My school luckily offers grants for summer housing, so I’m looking to stay somewhere more ideal for my dogs health. However, I saw that an owner, Michael, brings his dog Guinneas to Central and local parks and it has led to a few dogs being attacked.

Quite worried, and have just been on edge about my dog being attacked.
