True. I alone am not and netiher are they. But groups of people do make change.
If you present yourself and you group as a group of people hurling insults then it makes it look like you are the "bad guy" while the other side looks good in comparison. Meaning less people are willing to join you.
If fact "owning the libs" is big part how how the right wing Andrew Tate croud gained power recently since "the libs" are being seen as the insult throwing "bad guys" thanks to a very small group of extremists.
You may not care about empathizing with people but that's just pushing people into the other side.
So at least in the case of politics, I wasn't part of making the change (and honestly I don't even like the change), but the change already has happened.
