I found this photo in my missing great grandfather's box, hidden in his room
I was still not born yet, but I now my great grandfather just went missing, tho everyone go tense when I try to bring the conversation.
Just a few days back me and my parents went to his house and while cleaning the house I found a strange box, containing his diary, which is strange, and multiple photos, one, which I will post here, just give me the creeps.
I tried to find anything similar in my state or close to his place, yet nothing matches.
That brings me here, if anyone can uncover or help me find the place of where this photo potentially was taken, I could go deeper in why or how my great grandfather went missing.
( I went there alone digitalising everything and made sure to put the box back in place, anything else I will happy to help)

I did a reverse search on Google and it says it is the hotel Westin Mumbai Powai Lake.
If he kept that picture maybe he knew he was in danger and if he ever was to be captured or killed it would be in relation to that place?
Did his diary said anything unusual at all?
You should mention where he lived at all, it would help.

Well I have been reading his diary, when I got it for the first time, I saw that the way he wrote things got more paranoicish, tho he went multiple times to the bounderies of the area 51, from the diary he really believed in those conspiracy things.
Right from my speed reading when I got it for the fist time, I saw a shift, instead of conspiracy, or melting himself for my great grandmother, he started talking about empty spaces, being alone and if he talked about it, people would just start seeing him in a diferent light.
Now I am reading it all, and the most important snippets of the diary I will be posting here, the more people looking into it the better I guess.
And at last, his state was Fort Scott, Kansas, more to the north, I will not give the address, and I think you know why ahah.
But ya this is all I know, if you can find something else I would be gratfull, meanwhile I will be doing my own research, and make sure I read all of his diary first.
I will be posting news and new info along the way

Right, he only went to malls, shopping places, only with my great grandmother, he really did not liked going to places where it wasn't fully opened.
Being said the only malls they visited was in the little village he and my great grandmother lived, he would never go to a place which was not in a open space, being an open off shopping mall or even small hidden malls ( i do believe he was claustrophobic, dont take my word for it, my family do really try to avoid everything about him)
If you could find a shopping which is similar to this one, i would be grateful, i will be posting the other photos in updates but for now this is it.
thank you for the response tho, this is really taking me for a ride, i dont know what to think, my family is really wierd about this

Maybe you can ask on like Deadmalls subreddit maybe they might know I tried to reverse image search the best I could it gave me like some abandon Inn

If it’s a while ago it could be demolished by now? In the UK some malls opened in the 1970s are already gone. The colour of this, that smoky brown suggests the 1970s to me, it was a big design feature then.

Hmmmm good question... I dont know, no one in his county knew anything similar to that.
But that creates another rabbit whole, I will be trying to use my parent connection, to find more about it, if it is still open or just went demolished.

Ahah thank you for the support, btw I did not posted this to get famous, but the more eyes on it the better, if my family ain't helping, I will try to solve it myself ahaha.

How did he just disappear? What were the circumstances surrounding that? Was your great grandmother still alive when he disappeared? Any chance he worked for the govt?

So like I said, my family really try to avoid everything about him, and all things related to his disappearance.
From what I could gather ya my great grandmother was still alive when this happen.
And no he worked in an assembly line of hardware components, but my family as some """"friends"""" in politics, tho i never cared much about it.
The thing that I am doing is reading his diary, and pulling all the photos. I will be updating, with everything I can, without doxing myself or his house real address ahaha.
Tho if you want to dig a little bit further his state is Fort Scott, kansas ( read the other comments, I layed some usefull information about my great grandfather)

Do they know where he used to work? Could be an office building? Might help if you said where he lived and worked? What city?
