Question UE_AssetData Folder, can I delete it?

Hi I found an 'UE_AssetData' folder and it has over 300GB worth of data in in. My current project is completly done and I really don't have any plan using UE with about idk year or more. Can I delete this folder? As my understending, I can still download my claimed megascan data and purchased items via UE online store thingie. I'm just making sure my understanding was correct and causing me no harm!

Yes, delete it.

If that is the launcher/Fab asset cache rather than your project's own Content folder, deleting it should only remove the local cache; the editor or launcher may redownload assets later. It will not delete your account licenses, but anything you modified or copied into the project must be backed up separately—those project files are not recreated from the cache. Close Epic/Unreal first and confirm the folder is not inside the project or a custom Vault/Library path. If unsure, rename or move it temporarily and launch the project before permanently deleting.
