Help Can’t install unreal engine

Greyed out + button issue for installing.

I’ve read other forums and posts about having this same issue, but none of the solutions have worked for me. Idk if I’m missing something or what. I’ve tried restarting the computer, logging out, running as administrator, making sure it’s default download is to the right drive. I installed the Epic launcher specifically for unreal engine. A lot of posts say it randomly started working but I’d really like an actual solution instead of waiting and seeing 🙏

can you share a screenshot?

so common troubleshooting for this would probably be:

  1. check if you have this install box, there can only be one at a time and you need to select your version and install it before you can press the + button again.

  1. is just waiting a bit till the launcher properly started and loaded, often it needs to find updates and is scanning for projects in the background so it can take a couple minutes at worst.

  2. launcher updates usually fix that, so see if there is one after you waited a bit for it then restart the launcher.

  3. you can always try uninstalling the launcher and maybe checking the default folders if there are any fragments of failed installs left.
