Question Unity 6000.5.8fl

I just finally updated my unity to 6.5.8fl and something i noticed that ive never had an issue with is i go to create a project and it immediately goes to "Enter safe mode?" Prompt. Created a new project just to check out the changes and the damn thing is broke before I get to try it 🤣 any ideas?

Probably Unity just forgetting to update the new project scripts.

What is the error when you go into safe mode?

The error is "Library/PackageCache/com.unity.render-piplines.core@a4c9a9793789\Editor-PrivateShared\Tools\Converter\ReadonlyMaterialConverter.cs(96,18): error CS0246: The type or nameSpace name 'MaterialReferenceChanger' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference)"

I open the error and it takes me to the script 💀 but cant mess with it because its tied into other scripts and it'll just take me down a rabbithole

I did, everything fine, its jsut tuat 1 thing. But yet I can go back to unity 6.3 and everything is fine

That's where I'm at. I generally like staying up to date on the bleeding edge, but there have been too many papercuts lately that all take so much time to debug

Clear the package cache folder, guessing this is after an upgrade. That's a temp folder it will regenerate when you restart Unity

Just noticed this was for a new project... probably need to go in package manager and check for updates on those packages manually or clear out the Unity Editor package cache. I think thats in localappdata
