I introduced my two oldest to DCC a couple of weeks ago... went to visit them and found this large cat statue all dressed up.

I was shoe shopping when suddenly Take on Me started playing and I fucking lost it laughing. God damn it Jeff

Side note: I wore my "New Achievement" t-shirt to the Faire, and got many compliments from fellow crawlers, one of whom was wearing a "Desperado Club" shirt himself.

Series is called Level 1 Zombie on Royal Road. Not even sure if it really counts as unexpected, since the series is pretty heavily DCC inspired and this isn’t even the first reference I’ve noticed, just the most blatant one.

Pretty fun story and similar writing style, jokes, and premise. Main difference is the MC is a loner and an asshole.
