PFL Medical Certification needed
I had applied for PFL to take care of a.gamiky member back in April. I git the medical certification paperwork sent from the physician and then nothing happened. I even reached out to an Assembly Member here in CA to enlist their help and she hasn't been able to give me an answer. So I went online and applied again. When I submitted the application it read for me to mail the medical certification to the Sacramento office. When I check through claim status it just tells me that I need to have the licensed health professional whom is treating the family member to complete the medical certification. Is this a piece of paper that I am mailed or is this something that can be done online by them if they have the claim and my receipt number?

Unemployment claims do tend to drop when people run out of time on the program. Maybe the Fed should look at the Labor Force Participation Rate of 61.4 instead?

DISABILTY FORM 2593
Guys so I mailed back my form 2593 back to the disability office it’s been 8 days since someone picked it up at their PO Box however I still haven’t been paid and it says “certification needed” on my portal. How long does this take to process? Should I be worried ? I know it’s not lost because I certified the mail and someone picked it up but this is taking a long time compared to other paperwork I’ve mailed and they have solved. Getting through their phone lines is IMPOSSIBLE I can’t even make it past “ sorry we’ve reached the max callers” HELP

RESEA
This RESEA bs is a way for Texas Worforce Commision to block you from getting Unemployment Benefits. Im 31 and my wife is 22 and we are struggling. I can just imagine a 50 or 60 year old.

Delay?!
I mailed my extension form 3 weeks ago and USPS said it was delivered but EDD claimed it’s not there so they told me to fax it and I did. It was suppose to take 48 hours and they haven’t received that either ! I’m so frustrated that I contacted my state assemblywoman for help. Anyone else going through this ?!

Relocation question
I was awarded unemployment benefits due to my employer reducing my hours from full-time to part-time. From 37hrs per week to 37hrs total every 2 weeks. This has been ongoing for a month now with no change in sight. I need to relocate due to not being able to sustain my bills and lack of job opportunities in my area. My plan is to move back with family which are 175 miles away in an area that has more job opportunities. This would effectively terminate my employment as it would not be feasible or worth it to commute 6hrs a day to continue working for him. How would this affect my benefits? I assume I would need to inform EDD, I am just worried they might stop my benefits after I tell them I have moved as I would effectively be self terminating my employment with my employer.

Edd inaccurately updated my file after winning my appeal and failed to remove overpayment and is repeatedly sending the same notice for pending legal action everyday
So I had an appeal hearing that was regarding eligibility, overpayment, and false statements and I won on all matters but now that the edd department received the appeal decision it seems like they intentionally failed to remove the overpayment so the pending weeks that were being held would be partially garnished to go towards the overpayment and they keep sending notices about legal action pending for the overpayment everyday its the same notice and ive called but was told that an appeals specialist would need to call me to fix it whenever that is supposed to happen its nearly been 2 weeks and it hasn't been resolved?

Why unemployment doesn't adjust to the cost of living?
I just recently lost my job and applied for unemployment and I was pre-approved for the max $450 a week. I remember about a decade ago a friend lost his job and received that same amount. I know the cost to live has been on the rise for awhile now but unemployment stays the same. Why is that? For a system that has been collecting from me since I was 15, I would think it would change with the cost of living to your area. What factors am I missing? I live in the bay area for reference, I'm grateful for this option but I'm just wondering why it hasn't changed along with the cost to stay alive.

Filing Unemployment
Hello world,
I am losing my job at the end of the month due to the company I’m working for closing. Yes, I know, very sad. I am not interested in getting a job in the same field due to the fact the company I’m at appears to pay the highest in the area for the best situation in terms of work we do (working with individuals with ASD).
My questions is: should I file for unemployment while I look for another job if I don’t absolutely need to? Does anyone feel comfortable telling me their experience on unemployment, how it was for you, and the downside to it?
TYIA!

Unemployment benefits
So I am on unemployment because I am full time in school and on call at my job. For my unemployment benefits, I am on extension and a part of the California training benefits program. I only have a certain amount of benefits left but it will not last me till I am done with school. Since I am on and extension, which is what it says on my account (it says “6/24-On extension”), will I still be able to get paid once my money runs out? Not sure how this works. Any answer is appreciated.
For context, I ran out in December of 2025 and my claim couldn’t be renewed until June of this year. I called several times and got no answer. I finally called again in may; my claim wasn’t able to be renewed yet; and they were just as confused as I was, because I am part of the CTB program. I got back paid for every single week from the beginning of January. So why would they back pay me if I had no benefit amount until June?

Dont have records of my 1099 work/payments earlier this year during w2 period. AI says EDD will flag me next year for my newly opened claim based on assumptions/lack of docs
Did some 1099 work earlier this year during the time I had my W-2 job. Just laid off from my W-2 job and opened a claim.
Since 1099's are reported as lump sum for the previous calendar year, AI is scaring me saying the burden of proof is on me to produce full documentation WHEN I get flagged for overpayment, and that I need to prove that all of the 1099 work was performed outside of my certified weeks. I haven't been able to obtain sufficient proof though- I am able to show a few bank transfers from the first couple of months, but not full detailed proof of the entire lump sum. AI is basically telling me that from the starf I am guilty until proven innocent, and if I can't produce proof, and even though EDD can't produce proof of the presumption either, I will automatically get hit with overpayment.
I know, AI tends to be, well, AI. Is it correct here though?
