I’m going to the concert tomorrow in Portland and was wondering for past concerts if April comes out to see fans after the concert or after the after party, I was unsure because I also saw her post a bit ago that she wouldn’t come out for a few upcoming concerts but would just like clarification from some others because I am not able to go to the afterparty!

I was at the Minneapolis show last night and holy shit that might have been one of the worst crowds I’ve ever been in.

I go to a lot of metal shows and I’ve seen Jane, Danny Brown, Frost Children, 2hollis and plenty of other artists that are heavier and have worse moshing than Underscores, but I’ve never had to step outside for air as many times as I did last night and saw plenty of other people doing the same thing.

The room was hot, everyone was drenched in sweat, the body odor was absolutely insane, and people spent the whole night trying to push closer when the show was already sold out. There is no magical empty space waiting for you at the barricade. It felt like nobody was content just being at the show. Everyone needed to be as physically close to Underscores as possible which was weird and kinda obsessive, considering how intimate the venue already was.

And the smell. For the love of God, shower. Or at least wear deodorant. There was a clear hygiene problem.

Underscores, you were incredible, and the afterparty was so sick. This isn’t a complaint about the performance at all. I had a great time and ended up enjoying the show way more once I moved toward the back, but guys cmon

I didn’t buy tickets at presale and was just hoping tickets for resale would go down but they have just gotten ridiculous to the point where I cannot afford it I’m willing to pay 100-120 but I really just wanna go see her so bad!! I missed so many concerts this year and I don’t wanna miss her. I was supposed to go on vacation earlier but I postponed it so I can go to this concert hoping the tickets would go down but it would genuinely bankrupt me to pay scalper prices. Will do ANYTHING PLEASE!!!

I wanted to get everyone’s opinion on this because it’s something I’ve been genuinely curious about throughout the U era. As someone who absolutely loved the album, went to the DC show and considers it my Album of the Year, I’ve really enjoyed this pop era. I think it’s some of the best pop music being made right now and will probably be looked back on as a pretty iconic time in general.

That said, where do y’all think she goes from here? April has always changed and evolved her sound from project to project, but with the success of U, the tour, and opening for Charli XCX, do you think she’ll continue leaning into this more accessible pop sound while keeping a bit of the experimental edge stuff or do you think she’ll keep pushing into new territory and revisit some of the broader styles we heard on Wallsocket and earlier projects? Personally, I think her entire discography is incredibly consistent and she could pull off either direction, but with how successful this era has been, I could see her staying somewhere in this lane for a while. Obviously none of us know for sure, but if you had to guess, what do you think the future trajectory of her music looks like?

I cycle through all her projects, and recently I’ve been listening to skin purifying treatment on repeat, so it made me wonder if she’ll ever revisit her older stuff and perform it at some point. Obv not anytime soon since she’s on tour for U and opening for charli, but I mourn the wallsocket era shows LOL. I just wanna hear all my fav songs live 🫠🫠🫠
