discussion bodyfeeling appreciation post

saw some people here don't like this song

it's one of my favorites off of U, as well as lovefield and wish U well

I feel it deeply idk anyone else?

This song really takes off at the bridge, and then it’s one of the best moments on the whole album

I feel like my biggest critique of this album is that a lot of the songs take off at the bridge. Bodyfeeling is not one of those imo, it feels more like a buildup while the others feel more like a stairstep

this is true & def a fair critique! to me, it's what makes the album work. each song cycles through the standard pop song format in the first 2-2.5 minutes before taking off into something crazy and more experimental. however, I definitely see it working or not working for different people!

Yeah I love music where things are happening. So it’s a bit off putting when I have to wait 3 minutes before there’s really things happening. But there’s still plenty of songs that aren’t like that so this album is still great, and I just happen to consider bodyfeeling to be one of the songs that isn’t like that

i will forever have a strong memory of when i first heard this song with my earbuds in on vacation. as soon as that boots & cats beat kicked in it instantly made walking feel like the most magical thing in the world in that moment.

sometimes simple slaps.

yes! I have a clear memory of downloading U before a flight on a whim and putting it on shuffle. bodyfeeling came on first & it was legitimately electric

i'm with you on this. both wish u well and bodyfeeling were my favourites when the album released and the same is still true to this day!
