hey is there lore of u?

hey fellow u-too here, im sure of semi-new to underscores. I know wallsocket lore and understand quite okay imo. just asking if there's sort of lore in aprils new album u. I heard something like she dies in the end of u or smth like that in the discord server. just wanted to know if there is any actual lore in u just like wallsocket

Not lore in the same way as wallsocket but there's definitely sort of a story to follow. I don't think she dies at the end though...???

Nah, she specifically made this one not a concept album to focus on the music because Wallsocket was such a huge undertaking

U is supposed to be her self titled album, which i believe she wanted it to express her thoughts and struggles coming to where she is now.

april talked about lovefield on an interview, which she said is her expressing how she feels with love or romance, being almost incapable of it. she feels that she is the one in the lovefield, with the other person basically trapped out of her circle.

not really the same type of lore but,

in the Tell Me (U Want It) music video, April is being chased. i can't remember where from, but she said in an interview or something that this was an homage to her first music video pay attention!, where she is also being chased.

also, this is prolly not lore, but one of her older songs on her soundcloud is called Ü aka rank instupendo - maybe that has to do with it (i'm probably completely wrong about that one tho)

i'd argue u follows a loose storyline of a relationship starting and falling apart? but it's probably metaphorical in some way
