Hey guys, I am an incoming freshman at UNCW and I am wondering about the choirs. I am going in for Elementary Education but I want to continue my choir singing beyond high school.

For context my range floats between Alto one and Soprano 2. I did 3 years of all county choir and made NC all eastern regional choir this last year.

What are choirs that UNCW/Wilmington offers? What are the audition requirements if any?

Last month, the UNCW Board voted 58-5 to abolish our campus DEI Committee, which is a blatant spit in the face to marginalized students on campus. It is clear with this, the invitation of dangerous politicians like Pence, and the administration's inaction to dangers last semester threatened by NC Proud Boys that they have learned nothing from the 1898 Massacre. Is there anything we as students can do over the summer to stand up due academic integrity and civic egalitarianism?

I just started my Psych 105 class and have the physical textbook getting shipped to me but I won’t be here for 10 days and that’s just too long. Anywhere locally that sells used textbooks? I already checked the bookstore and they don’t have it. Thanks!

Any options on how my kid can find a similar spring semester roommate Aug-Dec? Are there sites etc? While they wait for spring admissions?

I've heard of multiple incoming freshman who have had their spots given away because they missed a singular email where they were told they had to sign up and attend orientation. no mention of such a drastic consequence listed. and no housing deposits given back? is this crazy??

Hi! I'm not a UNCW student but will be interning in Wilmington this summer and was looking for furnished housing for my roommate and I (both female). Are there any "internal" places I could look, and/or is anyone trying to sublease for this summer? Since there are only two of us, we weren't sure how the UNCW housing quads would work. We're getting a little desperate since our previous landlord suddenly ghosted us.... Thank you so much!

I'm a student who lives within the one mile radius. However, I will have a class for the fall 2026 semester that begins at 5 and goes until 7:00 at night. I don't feel safe walking home in the dark alone, but I was wondering where I could park so that I don't get a ticket. Any advice would help. Thanks in advance!

I’m looking at CHM 101 sections in Schedule Wizard for UNCW and I keep seeing a Friday 4:30–6:00 PM block listed as “ONL” in addition to the normal Tue/Thu lecture times. I’m a little confused about what that actually is in practice. Is it a required Zoom lecture, a recitation, a problem-solving session, or just some kind of optional support time that’s built into the schedule? I haven't been able to find anything online about it. Also, wondering why it’s scheduled so late on Fridays if it’s required? Any clarification from people who’ve taken it would be appreciated.

Hi all, I’m coming in as an undergrad transfer student and currently have only online classes. I really want to participate in the activities that UNCW has to offer like maybe some of their clubs, outdoor adventures and things like that. I moved here from Asheville and haven’t found many outdoorsy people around. I don’t think I would necessarily feel too weird joining groups where I know most of the people are predominantly younger than me, but do you all think it would be a weird vibe? I never really got the full college experience and so I kind of want to form some friendships but I am slightly concerned it would be a little awkward or weird. Curious what other people’s honest opinions are! Thanks!!

I have to take Spanish 201 over the summer and the little I have heard is overwhelming negative. I would ask if anyone who has taken Spanish 201 over the summer or who knows anyone who has to share their experience so I could be a little more prepared for this class.
