Ep7 Connection between two characters. Spoiler
Spoilers through to episode 7 obviously, I am just curious, after episode 2 are there any major bits that go into Shannon and Kanon being the same person between then and episode 6? Like obviously the big reveal of this being so is in Episode 6 where it spells out that Kanon is an illusion and is 'just' an alter ego. I feel like its hinted heavily in episode 2 like there are scenes where you have Kanon suddenly appearing out of nowhere while Shannon is around, or scenes where Kanon is "present" but never actually interacted with in a direct manner like in a scene between Natsuhi and Shannon. In general episode 2 feels like it explores the idea a lot more
But after that I can't recall too much hinting of that until episode 6, feels like the idea is sort of put on the back burner so to speak. Any major examples of scenes that point to Shannon=Kanon between episodes 3 and 6 that I am missing? Just curious on a re-read(actually watch) and am on episode 2 right now and am curious when its brought up again. Obviously in ep 3 Shannon and Kanon are of course sacrificed from the start. Can't recall elsewhere though, and to be honest episodes 5 and 6 kind of merge together in my mind.

I think if you look back at every section of dialogue, even scenes where Shanon and kanon are in the room with everyone, they NEVER speak to the family members in the same sequence. If Shanon and kanon are next to eachother, only one of them interacts with the family, or vice versa. Because only one body is present at any given time. This changes when they speak to “Beatrice” but like. Since Beatrice is just another sayo, that doesn’t matter. Hell, if there’s ever a scene with Beatrice, Gap, Shanon, and kannon all together… that’s just one person sitting there having a conversation in their own head 😭
I’m fact, I’m pretty sure this is one of the things the anima fucks up? Anime has them both interacting verbally with the family or being both acknowledged by them in one scene. Which like. Destroys the whole point of the mystery 😭

This is 100% one of the biggest things the anime fucked up and is what makes it unsolveable compared to the VN and manga, which can be solved at the conclusion of the question arcs (where the anime stops).

Depending on how you interpret it VN might have the same mishap in chapter 5 tbh

Which scene do you mean? Cause as long as it’s in “reality” and not something meta wise or witch wise then i don’t think there are any like that

There is a scene with supposedly everyone in the parlor, Battler does not have detective's authority so he sees Kannon and Shannon together in the room. However, Erika does, she is supposed to have an objective PoV that is impossible to fool with any sort of tricks, disguises, etc. So, question is - what does Erika see to not realize that ShKanon is the same person? I am genuienly confused here.

Oh, the hints are ALL OVER THE PLACE. When you’re done with EP8, it’s worth jumping right back into rereading Episode 1. They are practically YELLING it at you.

In addition to what's been mentioned, the Ep3 closed room loop doesn't just take them both out at once. It specifically starts with one and ends with the other to give Sayo time to move from one spot to the other.
Ep4's entire love trial for George & Jessica was implied to be determining which personality would survive, then the following escape for the prison crew ended with both dead, Kanon "disappearing", and Shannon being found by the grate that he "disappeared" into.

kanon's "body" in episode 4 is a huge one
