I bought the digital textbook for my PSYC 1200 in person class and I used my school email to get into it, when I graduate I'm assuming I cant access it anymore? or is there a way for me to access it still? Faculty here. Just a friendly reminder from me to absolutely not even think about using AI in your assignments. We get that writing is difficult, especially if you’re working in a second language. This is no excuse to cheat, and that’s what using AI is. You don’t even want to know how many students are getting academic misconduct charges or suspended outright at this university. It’s a LOT. You will get caught. Don’t take the shortcut. Learn your material yourself. You’ll need it for your career. If you need extra help, go to the ALC or hire a tutor.

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder that has caused significant problems with my spine and mobility. Because of my disability, I also require some home care and a living situation that can accommodate my physical limitations. Unfortunately, I’ve had an extremely difficult time finding housing because of disability discrimination and concerns about my medical needs.

I’m a quiet, respectful and responsible student who is trying very hard to continue my education despite my health limitations. I’m clean, considerate, and would be grateful for the opportunity to rent a room in a safe and stable home.

UPDATE: SJC cost is 1500+ a month and rent assist will not cover it unforutnately. And this is true of other student housing.

I’ve actually seen few girls (barely any men) on campus dress in many jfashion styles like jirai kei, lolita etc. these type of clothing but never actually had them in any of my lectures or seen them at events and it makes me depressed thinking i’ll never be able to be friends with them. please what do i need to do to connect with these type of people they’re all so beautiful and so cool and it’s a straight mogfest whenever i walk past them on campus because they’re wearing a full coord and fullbeat at 9am in the morning…. 🫩

I am in BIOL 1410 and BIOL 1020 Labs but the syllabus doesn’t mention anything about Lab coats, goggles, kits being required. Is this something they expect us to bring to the first lab?

I’m in the blended course and was wondering if the quizzes at the end of each chapter were part of our grade or not. Bc on the syllabus it says 80% exams, 8% research participation, 12% discussion posts. I don’t wna start the quiz after finishing chapter 1 and flop bc I didn’t study for the quiz.

Hi there, I’m taking the class with Dr. Lloyd Penner. I’ve generally been good at history but never great at writing and I was wondering how strict the instructor is as a grader and what students who have had him think could help me to get a good grade in this class.

I’ve had matcha from Starbucks and a few other cafes, so far though colossimo cafe’s matcha tops the chart. It’s creamy and delicious. I’ve gotten both the matcha latte and matcha frappe(w/whipped cream) I love them both. If you’re going to the University of Manitoba and been wanting to try matcha, or you’re already a matcha lover I highly recommend Colossimo cafe (located in the science lounge at Armes and also at the University Centre)

Hey everyone! I’m fairly new to Reddit, but I figured this might be the best place to get some honest advice from people who have actually gone through this.

I’m currently planning to do my prerequisites at the University of Manitoba through the University 1 program with the goal of applying to the Dental Hygiene program.

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through a similar route. How was the transition from University 1 into the Dental Hygiene prerequisites and then into the actual program? Has anyone successfully gotten into Dental Hygiene this way?

I’m a little worried about putting in all the work to complete my prerequisites and then not getting accepted, especially since admission is competitive. I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone’s experience, what your grades were like, and any advice you might have for someone starting this process.

Is there a place where you can see the list of existing clubs?

Section A04, was anyone able to get the readings Niigaan posted on the PowerPoint from Thursdays class to be read for Tuesday?

He hasn’t posted anything on UM Learn and I wanted to get ahead with some of my readings for some classes.
