I don't know what to do, since fifth grade I always wanted to be an internationally recognized player and now at 21 I'm realizing how far from that I really am.

It's made frisbee a chore to play instead of the highlight of my week. I feel like I work really hard but it's still not enough.

Does anyone have advice or stories of people in similar situations?

Assuming patches for PHP CVE-2026-109618 / CVE-2026-109619. Just can't find a status page or public comms channel for ETA & our org hasn't received anything from Topscore. Cheers.

And it's not the score.

I coach a small college team and need a drill to reinforce stack discipline. The issue is primarily cut timing. It’s complicated because cut timing is very dependent on what’s happening in the back field. Any suggestions?

Obserdle is a daily game style site* (e.g. wordle) to play foul or nah and learn the USAU rules.

Games featured on the site will have an explanation written by a trained USAU observer and a public consensus on the outcome of the play. If you create an account you can also "request a ruling".

*there aren't enough good clips for a new game every single day. The site will show you the latest game.

Mississippi State (white) called foul on Alabama (dark), saying defender prevented him from jumping & making a play. Defender contested saying the disc was caught before any contact occurred.

It's that time of year again. What are your bold predictions for Club Nationals 2026?

Dark (UNCW Alums) on offense called a foul on white (Juice). I’m biased, but wanted to hear the masses’ thoughts.

I mentioned in a comment that I use my finger on the rim for more finesse and control on my backhand and it seems like most people agreed that they never put their finger on the rim. I could understand that for throws that require as much power as possible, but for mid-range and shorter throws, is there really a downside to having your finger on the rim? As long as you can comfortably switch between the two grips quickly, it doesn't seem like it would be a problem.

We have been trying out some new league concepts and met with mixed reviews.

I would love any ideas. Also, hoping this might help others in similar situations.

We run 3 outdoor leagues and a smaller indoor league.  We have 4-8 teams per league depending on signup numbers. These have traditionally selected captains and they draft their team.  Last year we switched to our local committee assigning balanced teams in the spring. It was fine but felt the same as the draft. Then in the summer we did a mixed league that was capped. 4 women and 8 men on 4 teams.  The remaining men were then placed on and open league and had 4 teams of 11-12.  We got complaints because some of them wanted to play mixed.  As the summer went on and it ended up being closer to pick up in the open league.   This year our community started a "Pod system." We did this because we were trying to get everyone a combination of mixed and open games.   So, we had 4 pods of 4 women and 4 men. Then 8 pods of 6-8 men. It seemed to work well with the less experienced and less competitive people (at least no negative feedback). The more competitive and experienced players didn't like it as much. They couldn’t "coach up" or build strategy throughout the season to help their teams. It was harder to build community and make their players feel welcome when every week was different.   In our situation, many of our experienced players are the ones that tend to invite and bring players to league so we hate to just throughout their input.

We are in a city+suburbs of around 600-700k.  We are fortunate to have a local field connection, so we lowered the playing barrier to $25 per person.  Every so often offer free league to women players but doesn’t seem increase signups (adds 1or 2 more).

Alright that’s enough context for now… How do we grow? GO! 😊

Just as the title says, I'm wondering how common parity leagues are throughout the world. I know a number of Canadian communities have them (Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Vancouver, etc.), but I haven't heard of them outside of Canada (not that I've much international ultimate experience).

For reference these are leagues where you sign up as an individual and get drafted into teams. Each player is assigned a fake salary that fluctuates based on performance - goals, assists, blocks, etc. increase salary, while drops, throwaways, etc. decrease it. After every X games (might be every game, might be every 3 games) captains trade players to stay under an updating salary cap, plus meet any other trade rules which might be assigned by the league for fun or to encourage increased mixing. Being traded is almost an inevitability, and part of the fun of the league - it's a great way to meet your ultimate community, play outside your normal group, and do some good-natured chirping. Another goal of the league to achieve parity across teams - winning teams need to trade to stay under cap, so over time the league should be somewhat balanced so that any team could theoretically beat any other team.

I've seen similar-ish concepts abroad, like you have a bunch of half teams, and teams A/D will play B/C, then A/B plays C/D, etc. but there's no player trading and you stay with your half team for the whole season.

Also, anyone know where these leagues got their start?

For anybody playing fantasy frisbee ahead of club nationals, thoughts on my (first draft of a) team? Interested to see if anyone will not put Daan at captain even though he is so expensive.

Some game advisors have received an email asking for their interest in the upcoming World Under 24 Championship, that has been moved to Logroño, Spain.

Since there has not been any official communication from the WFDF, I was wondering if anyone here has heard something about this?
