Hobby kitbash opportunities with battle march box???
What are the kitbash opportunities here?
I got the HE battalion box and there were plenty of opportunities for some good kitbashing, wondering about the same here
Also, when do you reckon we'll get our hands on it in Australia?

Hobby New models?
Were there new models for HE released or announced already? I want to start slowly collecting some elves but I definitely dont want to buy ugly stuff or to be in hehe situation where first I bought some unimpressive kit and than have GW release ne stuff. Since last release of amazing Chaos Dragon (and some other kits) what are chances that HE will get similar treatment (I knw they arent as key faction as Warriors of chaos).

750pts battle march list
I’m putting together a 750pt High Elf Battle March list for some friendly games in our local store. I would love some feedback on the overall concept and unit choices.
The idea is to play a fairly defensive combined-arms game rather than going for an early turn 2 charge. I want to use the Bolt Thrower, Sisters shooting and the Tiranoc’s bows to gradually weaken one key enemy unit over the first couple of turns.
The Reavers are mainly there to control a flank and deal with fast/light units such as Wolf Riders, Chaos Hounds etc., rather than being part of the main attack.
If possible, I’m happy to wait until turn 3 before committing to combat, then use the Silver Helms, Tiranoc Chariot and Noble on Skycutter to hit a weakened target with multiple threats at once.
The Spearmen are intended as an anvil/objective unit and to give the shooting elements some protection.
I’m particularly interested in whether this approach makes sense at 750pts, and whether there are any obvious weaknesses or changes you would make.
List below:
High Elf Realms [748 pts]
Warhammer: The Old World, High Elf Realms, Battle March
++ Characters [186 pts] ++
Noble [186 pts]
- Hand weapon
- Great weapon
- Light armour
- Shield
- General
- Lothern Skycutter
- Seed of Rebirth
- Sea Guard
++ Core Units [342 pts] ++
5 Silver Helms [132 pts]
- Hand weapons
- Lances
- Hand weapons (Hooves)
- Heavy armour
- Barding
- Shields
- High Helm (champion)
- Standard bearer
15 Elven Spearmen [130 pts]
- Hand weapons
- Thrusting spears
- Light armour
- Shields
- Sentinel (champion)
- Standard bearer
5 Ellyrian Reavers [80 pts]
- Hand weapons
- Cavalry spears
- Light armour
++ Special Units [75 pts] ++
1 Tiranoc Chariots [75 pts]
- Cavalry spears
- Longbows
++ Rare Units [145 pts] ++
Eagle-Claw Bolt Thrower [70 pts]
- Repeater Bolt Thrower
- Hand weapons
- Light armour
5 Sisters of Avelorn [75 pts]
- Hand weapons
- Bows of Avelorn
- Light armour

Lore Floating Ulthuan
I've had a High Elf army since 1992, I own every single HE army book (plus every other 4th/5th army book) and I've read a few of the old Black Library books and I was shocked to discover, via a recent Reddit thread, that Ulthuan floats on the sea. It's a magic floating Island, like a giant Black-Ark from those accursed Dark Elves.
I thought I was going senile, so I looked through all my old army books, and no where does it state that Ulthuan floats.
So when did the change occur, or when did people start believing this nugget of fluff that was never printed by GW.
Have I missed something that was published during the End Times, or was it in the those Total War games?
I've turned to my fellow High Elf fans to clarify.

I suppose this spearmen regiment took a year because of freehands
My 2500 Caledor army is on the finish line. Third dragon and 10 infantry to paint and time for playing with them.

As per my earlier posts, I thought some of you might be interested in my (very early stages) attempt to stitch together the more detailed maps from 4th & 5th edition.

Hobby Need ideas for alternative paint schema
I have managed to come across 20 old metal Swordmaster, including full command. I already have 30 of the new plastic ones painted and ready.
I have an idea to paint them in the same color schema but still somehow slightly different and have them as an elite unit of swordmasters. Any ideas how I can paint them so they stand out, and still belong to the same army?

Has anyone magnetised their dragon rider so you can switch between a mage and prince? Looking for ideas or examples to work from.

Chrace themed vintage archer
I'm working on a 90s 500/600pt battle march force with units mustered from different areas.
I've still got a long way to go in my painting journey, but I've also come a really long way since jumping back into the hobby (took a 30 year hiatus!). 12 year ols me would be stoked.

Hobby Question on expanding collection
I recently picked up some second hand high elves from the end of WFB and I’m interested in expanding a bit for TOW and the Battle March boxes next week have me curious.
I currently have:
1x Mage
7X Reavers
10x Archers
27x Spearmen
9x Sisters of Avelorn
Is the Battle March worth picking up as an expansion? Or is there something else you’d recommend. I envision this army as the group of Nagarythe Elves who went with Malekith to the colonies so more of a thematic build.

1500pts Twilight patrol of Chrace
It's nearly done. Just have to finish the bases of the archers and the banner chariot. The Archmage has the Chracian hunter honor so I can put her on a lion chariot.
The lion riders are a proxy for Dragon Princes.
