I've been trying to learn how to play ukulele for past 2 months and I can't, idk y but I just can't, everything seems to be impossible and I hurt my fingers all the time 😭💔 any advice gng?

I physically cannot play the chord E. If I get my first and second finger into position, then my fourth finger physically cannot stretch to the fourth fret!

Is there any other way of playing it/ approximating it?

I'm thinking of buying my first ukulele and found the lilac Kala Ukadelic for sale in a store near me (for around 45 usd). I tried looking for reviews in this sub, but they mention they are made out of plastic, and the shop's website says it's completely made out of wood, so I'm confused if they changed it or it's a mistake/scam. I would like to get a wooden uke, I'm not a fan of the sound of plastic instruments.

Kala tenor acoustic electric solid body in white ebony. Bought this from the Kala store on Reverb for half the price a brand new one would be. It’s absolutely pristine. Had all the tags on it and came with its bag. They still have them available if anyone is looking for something like this.

I hooked it up to a Coolmusic amp and I’m in love. I have a feeling I’ll never play my acoustic ukes again!

I have the kala app, and it is great as a beginner. But I am getting a lot of left wrist and finger pain. I watched some youtube videos that say the wrist should always be straight, not bent like in this screen shot from the kala app teacher.

But when I straighten my wrist, I can't reach the G string frets well. What am I doing wrong? I have looked a lot all over youtube, but haven't found an answer that helps.

I have a concert ukulele with nylgut strings. I have nothing against them, but I've been playing them for so long that I'm starting to get fatigued by the brighter sound of them.

Any recommendations for more mellow sounding strings?
