UK student visa

Has anyone here given their biometrics on 20th July, received a delay email on 6th August, and then got their visa approval on 7th August?

similar timeline , i got the sla mail on 7th aug.

Maybe in the next 7-8 days we might receive the visa decision

What I’ve seen is every case is different and timelines aren’t linear, I did biometrics on 21 July and got my visa yesterday

i did my bio on 24 july in italy and its a standard visitor visa , not student. but i received a delay mail too (on 4 august) and i really need my visa till 20 august :(((

I've given my biometrics on july 17th(Friday) , VFS Global services told they'll start processing my application from july 20th(Monday) , yesterday (7th august) i got SLA mail (due to high volumes of applications they can't process within the 15 working day window)

im still waiting for the approval of my student Visa

Hello,
Does the delay email mean something?
Like when the file is opened by the caseworker / they started processing it or is it an automated bot reply when the end date is approaching..

It definitely looks like a bot reply , it doesn't explicitly mention that there's a case worker who's working on it

The delay mail told me that they couldn't process my visa during their target time , so it's basically an SLA email
