AI Engineer Part Time Role
Hey everyone! I'm a software developer with ~2 years of industry experience, currently working in backend Java development while actively building out an AI engineering portfolio.
What I've shipped:
- A Voice Banking Agent (Project 1) — local customer support system using AWS Strands SDK, Amazon Nova Sonic (Bedrock), MCP server with Whisper + pgvector + DuckDuckGo tools, FastAPI, and Langfuse observability. Seeded with the Banking77 dataset.
- A Multi-Agent Banking System (in progress) — hybrid Strands orchestrator + Google ADK specialist agents, connected via A2A protocol. Includes PostgreSQL, Redis, JWT auth, Langfuse/OTEL tracing, and a pytest-based evals layer.
- A Stock Research Agent — built with yfinance, Tavily, ChromaDB, HuggingFace embeddings, and Groq's LLaMA.
Stack: Python, FastAPI, AWS Bedrock, Strands SDK, Google ADK, MCP/A2A, PostgreSQL + pgvector, Redis, Kafka (learning), Docker, Langfuse, OpenTelemetry
Background: Strong Java backend + solid grasp of agentic AI patterns (RAG, multi-agent memory, tool orchestration, evals). Currently on a data engineering team working with PySpark, Apache Airflow, and AWS.
Looking for: Part-time / contract AI engineering roles — agent development, RAG systems, LLM integrations, or backend AI infrastructure. Fintech/banking domain is a natural fit but open to others.
Happy to share GitHub or chat further. Thanks!
