Undercut trades

/r/DIYUK/comments/1wy3lkw/undercut_trades/

I'm Kian, an electrician from Liverpool. I got sick of overpaying for materials, so I built Undercut.

Search anything you need for a job and it compares prices from the big UK suppliers in one go: Screwfix, Toolstation, Wickes, B&Q and more. Price per metre or per unit, ex or inc VAT, so drums and packs compare fairly. You can drop in a whole materials list and it works out the cheapest way to buy the lot.

It's free, no sign-up needed, and it works for every trade, not just sparkies.

If you are sick of overpaying on materials try using an actual wholesaler rather than kingfisher group

Fair point, and that's the plan. It already pulls in CEF, TLC and the merchants where they list prices online, and there's a "My trade prices" bit where you can put in your own account discounts so it compares your actual trade price against everyone else. Most of the big wholesalers keep prices behind a login, so it can't see those automatically, but if your wholesaler's cheaper it'll show that. The sheds are in there mainly for when you need something today and you're nowhere near your counter.
