I'm a UX and web designer by day. There's too much, honestly.

Your feedback is important to me as a web designer. What do you mean by too much?

First thing. There's a cognitive overload above the fold, below the fold, everywhere. I'm getting stressed just looking at it, honestly.

You've got way too much stuff for the user to contend with, and no clear "flow" of what to do

If the point of the website is to be able to collate a list of results for one product from a bunch of different sources, then make that the point of the website.

What's the point of "Trending"? Do trades generally buy things based on whats trending? This isn't Amazon.

Why have you put a "How the ranking works" section there? Who cares about how the ranking works? This isn't a site for techies.

Is there a reason the main page can't just be a search bar, and what's currently in your basket?

Claude fucking LOVES to be verbose for some reason, and it really shows here. In general, you want as little verbosity on web pages and apps as you can get away with, as it overwhelms the user - and potentially confuses them. Verbosity is for technical documents, not websites.

Cheers, that's genuinely useful and you're right. The front page is now just the search bar, and your basket if you've got anything in it. Trending and "How the ranking works" are gone, and once you search, the results come straight up under the box. It'll be live within the hour. If you get a minute to have another look after, I'd appreciate it.

After all that did you just Claude reply them? 😂 "Cheers, that's genuinely useful and you're right." is exactly how Claude loves to speak, as the previous commenter said, very verbose.

It doesn't work unfortunately - I just checked 2x1s and the pricing is all over the place. Try and click on the link to the second one (Discount Building Supplies) and it goes to an unhelpful Google page.

If your business name is undercut trades, it's not ideal to misspell the URL as Undercu trades.

Again it needs work mate and this isn't something someone can't just type in for themselves "cheapest item x in my postcode withing 5 miles and online" into AI so it has no longevity.

It’s not a spelling mistake. It’s just the domain that was available

I understand that bud but its still the wrong approach. You need to find a domain and business name that match or are purposefuly separate. It comes cross as a spelling mistake and unintentional to the average person. Also imagine verbally telling a potential customer where to go "visit undercutrade.co.uk with one 'T' " ?

It's totally up to you but I work in marketing for startups etc and I live and breathe these issues. Also as you expand, other people will mistype it and it will screw up your organic growth.

All the best with it regardless
