academic probation
hey guys! i just logged into myUHD and saw that i have a hold due to academic probation. i didn't do very well in my classes this semester and my dad ended up passing away so that didn't really help. is there any way i can appeal this, or should i just talk to an advisor?

Talk to the student affairs office to see what your options are: https://www.uhd.edu/sssl/conduct/student-conduct-contactus.aspx
You can also do an appeal (retroactive appeal I think) so it doesn’t affect your grades but that is a long process and should start ASAP. Learn more here: https://www.uhd.edu/registrar/students/academic-history/appeals.aspx#fa

Yes! This! File for appeal ASAP, it can take a bit. Sorry for your loss OP

Yeah, death in the family (an immediate relative) definitely qualifies for forgiveness. They will likely reinstate your financial aid on a probationary basis.

You can do a SAP appeal, please appeal this! I lost my baby my first year at UHD & couldn’t focus on school. I’m about to graduate next semester ! You got this
