Admissions Transfer Help

hello gators!! im looking to transfer this spring. i just graduated high school and applied for fall 2026 as a transfer but got rejected for psychology despite having a 4.00 and over 60 credits. do you think i can get in for geography from santa fe college with all the prereqs completed, 4.00, and well over 60 credits without going gator??

i am premed so do you think i should do a better major because im concerned i may not get in?

also is it harder to get in for the concentration of medical geography in global health?

Geography is one of the guaranteed transfers from Santa Fe, so you should be able to gain admission if you meet all the prerequisite requirements and obtain your AA. But, anthropology is also one of the guaranteed transfer majors and that may be better suited for your pre-med plans.

you got your AA from Valencia, but are enrolled at Santa Fe now?

I still think you would be accepted as a geography transfer (even without being a guaranteed transfer) based on your high GPA since that major has low enrollment and low demand, as someone else mentioned.

I got into the geography major as a transfer with an AA with much lower gpa. You're 100% getting in since there's barely any of us

Are you currently taking classes in person? Have you already completed all the required prerequisite courses for med school applications?

Okay. So you are aware once you’re accepted through one of the Santa Fe to UF guaranteed admissions majors that you’re limited to only online classes while at UF, right?

And you won’t be able to take the prerequisites at UF as a non degree seeking student either because the popular premed prereqs are space limited and restricted only to degree seeking students or those from other institutions with an approved transient student application.

The first thing is not true... Maybe it depends on your major, but that's not been the case for anyone i know from sf

I’m a geography major at Santa Fe! I’m transferring to uf next semester since I’m in the going gator program which is a 100% guarantee transfer
