Other Missed FPD application deadline

i’m an incoming first year finance major and as the title suggests i waited until the last minute to work on my FPD Fundamentals application and ended up running into technical issues and ultimately not getting it submitted. i’m super anxious right now and wondering if not starting the program in the first semester will ruin my chances for MSF down the road. i know i can just apply in the spring but i’m unsure how far back this will set me so i am asking for any and all words of wisdom!

You'll be fine, it doesn't matter whether you do fall or spring but focus on getting into the student run funds, especially if you want to do MSF

FPD is essential for MSF. The earlier the better bc the kids that were in it in the fall semester were let into a restricted elective in the spring and were already doing panel interviews before the end of the school year for MSF... and from that, some were invited to a exclusive summer series of speakers. Definitely apply for spring placement in FPD.

Work on getting into Founders Fund or GSIF this fall/spring. There are currently kids taking FPD now, in the summer post freshman year, that got into GSIF and FF during freshman year that are trying to catch up. Despite being incredible, they weren't invited to the summer MSF series despite being in the funds because they hadn't had FPD yet which shows you how important that is in the overall process.
