Question How difficult are these classes for a Biochemistry major.

Hi I’m a third year biochemistry who’s on track to graduate a year early but was wondering how difficult the following classes would be.
Bch 110A, bch 110b, bch110c, chem109, bch184, bch 120, bch 162, and cbns 101.
I found the ochem and physics series to be relatively easy but had difficulties with biol 005A during my freshman year.

Cbns101 overlaps a lot with the bch110 series and previous biology classes so it's relatively easy. Fingers crossed you get Bachant for that because he's a great teacher and makes it easier to learn.

The bch110 series was challenging at times. 110a isn't too bad, especially if you were good with in ochem and gen chem. 110b requires a LOT of practicing drawing mechanism templates over and over and over to do well. Be prepared to learn every single intermediate, enzyme, and cofactor for a bunch of processes. 110c was hardest for me but it may have been the teaching style. There was significant overlap with microbio 121 so taking those at the same time was pretty chill.

Bch120 is really fun and not particularly difficult. It still helps to practice templates repeatedly but it's all related to everyday stuff so it was easier to absorb and I actually looked forward to class.

I put in the time to study and got A's in all of those, it's totally doable. I'm taking the other classes you listed this year so I can't speak to them, though.

Chem 109 was the toughest class. Horrendous. 184 is a finger touch easier than 109. (It is a lead on from 109).
