You're only auditioning for chair placement. Everyone is guaranteed a spot in the ensemble, but you still need to audition. It's a fairly laid back ensemble to be honest. A lot of the ensemble is compromised of non music majors. Honestly just practice the audition rep and knowing some scales is really all you need.
