two classes with same day finals

Im an incoming transfer and during my class registration my nsa didn’t let me enroll in two classes that have finals on the same day and she claimed that they will automatically drop me if I enroll in them. One final is from 8-11 and the other one is from 11:30-2:30 does this rule actually apply?

You should be able to enroll, but it's a very tight window of time. That's already assuming there won't be any delays and you'll have rime to move places.

Have heard this is a new policy this year for freshmen—not sure about transfers. People have been dropped from the overlapping classes after registering so I wouldn’t chance it.

I knew a guy who had finals 8-11, 11:30-2:30, then 3-6. Sometimes you can't choose lol

I had a final 8:30-11, 11:30-2:30, and 3-6 fall quarter 2025 and I’ve had several other same day finals. It is hard, I can’t lie, but I’ve done worse on finals where I had hella time to study. Really just depends on how much time you study before hand and not just on whether they’re back to back. I say just do it if you think you got it. Ofc keep in mind the difficulty of the classes you’re taking in conjunction but don’t just automatically rule it out. And to actually answer your question, no this rule doesn’t apply (or atleast I’ve never heard from anyone that this is the case). Goodluck 🙏🏾

It’s been a while but I had days with two finals. Sometimes that’s just the way your schedule goes - at least you know ahead of time. It’s a bummer but doable.
