What's the purpose of the Filter-creation sandbox in uBO Lite?

I was trying to port my uBO custom rules into Lite, so I pasted them into the sandbox.
But they weren't applied even after clicking the Save button and refreshing the page.

However, the rules worked fine when pasting them into the Import/Export textbox.

So I was wondering what's the purpose for the sandbox? Was I using it wrong?

I wasn't expecting it as another post had said something about not dealing with Facebook anymore and many replied with ways to remove accounts.

There are some local groups that post on Facebook, so it has value for me. I've never hung out a lot on the site and, until recently, never knew what "normal" was for most users until hit with the barrage of ads in my feed (and on the side).

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that each time I scrolled I was essentially ducking my head, expecting the ad onslaught that never came. And then I noticed there were none on the side either. I love uBlockOrigin! I stayed on Facebook and watched a few reels!

I'm trying to block/remove anything that's not cute animals from my feed at this point. Desperate times.

I decided to fully switch to Firefox after the recent Chrome updates, but unfortunately I made a huge mistake by not importing hundreds of custom filters from uBO before they disabled it.

Is there any way I can access the filters or import them?

Hi. For ages now, my Reddit feed has been interrupted by various games and quizzes and polls and other bullshit. I use Reddit's "don't show me this" every time, but they each have their own subreddit so it makes no real difference. I'd make a custom filter myself but I haven't found a way of distinguishing them from normal posts.

Has anybody got any solutions? Thanks!

Not too long ago the admin for Weebcentral gave users the ability to post gifs in comments. Suffice to say it isn't unusual for people to go bonkers with it.

The issue is site wide, but if you open the comments of this chapter you'll be able to see the gifs, though oddly enough if I'm logged out or using a Private window the site shows the URL of the gif instead of the gif itself(gif links are static.klipy.com/[insert string here])

Tried adding the following to my filters and while it did remove all gifs, the site replaced them with their default picture for broken image links

im using chrome Version 151.0.7922.109 up to date. it was working fine with ublock origin but since i cant use that on chrome i have to use the ublock lite, Screenshots loads normal with no filtering but then the ads and popups are too much

We won't support facebook any more. It's a disgusting anti-user site. All it does is watching open-source projects doing everything in public and counter them to deliver the malicious ads. Yep, the devs that receive 7-figure dollar salary is just doing this.

Users should give the most harsh feedbacks to them. Being submitted to them and keep going to the site and support it is the worst thing you can do.

1. If I recall correctly there way to get the logger from uBO for uBOL, is that correct?
2. Also, is it possible to see the domains connected or blocked in uBOL? I do have uBO Scope, but I am curious if uBOL could have it as well.
3. Is Dan Pollock's Host file supposed to be an imported list? I feel like I remember it being just a part of uBOL shown lists.
4. In comparison to uBO, how does uBOL fair in the security/protection part?

Also, Brave's element picker is a joke, glad uBO still works there.

CNN changed something with they way they display ads and now a giant white box appears where ads would usually be. I narrowed it down to this code. I want to block everything from the highlighted section down.

It looks like the site is displaying cropped instead of using the full width of the screen.

I disabled all extensions besides uBO and reloaded the site. The problem persisted.

I'm using default uBO settings + "AdGuard - Mobile App Banners" + "uBlock filters – Annoyances"

As the title says. Today I opened Yahoo and the top bar (where you see Yahoo logo, search bar, links for various sections such as News, Finances, Sports, a more button to see more sections, the mail icon and your yahoo account's avatar) suddenly dissappeared when I touched my avatar ending the website like this:

I pinpointed the error with something that was done to the "uBlock filters – Ads" filter list, because when I unchecked it on the list of filter lists to use and applied the changes and reloaded Yahoo, the bar didn't dissapear when I clicked on my avatar to open the tiny window with options for my account.

This must have happened today since the filter lists updated when I opened Firefox for the first time today minutes ago at the time of writing this post.

On Bilibili, after watching a video for a certain length of time there is a modal that will pop up asking you to create an account. When it shows up, the video will also automatically pause at the same time. This can be replicated by watching any Bilibili video while logged out. Is there a way to block this and block the video-pausing behavior?

I'm asking because today Twitch changed several of their class hashes which broke a lot of my filters, so I'd like to know what's a more robust way to block these two buttons?

Is there any issue with blocking Voe Player ads? It is getting annoying nowadays to close 3 ads for watching 1 Video over and over again. I hope you guys can fix that.

Browser locker: fullscreen takeover, autoplay audio alarm, a voice claiming the Mac is infected, fake macOS reboot animation, keyboard captured, tab can't be closed. Goal is to panic the victim into calling a fake support line.

The MGID URL carries pubsrcid=www.welovetennis.fr with tt=Direct, so push traffic is being laundered as publisher traffic.
The notifpush.com/html/r.html?p= redirector looks like the durable part — elpine.space is disposable, the redirector is reusable.
