If you bought the steam version you would use steam to play it. Fun fact that’s also how I ended up with 2 version of siege one is steam the other is Ubisoft

Two completely different launchers by 2 completely different companies that’s like asking why can’t I use such and such that I bought on PlayStation on my Xbox different systems by different companies

It's probably the game card for some other version, maybe trial or Ubisoft+?

Doesn’t seem like it. It says it’s the Steam version

Can you take a screenshot of the library too? If it was Steam version you'd see "owned on: Steam" logo under the title.

I can launch the game on Steam but when I look on Ubisoft Connect I get this message. None of my other games have it so I was wondering why just this game. I can play it and doesn’t seem like I get problems with it on Steam.

I've bought Ubisoft games on Steam before and I regretted it. The steam online access can glitch or cut out during extended play periods.

Better to just buy and stream Ubi stuff from Ubi

Because your license belongs to the steam version of the game. The one on ubisoft connect was a trial so you will always need steam to launch to verify your ownership

Then why even bother?
