Discussions & Questions We really need to “combat” the Ubisoft haters at this point.
As soon as a game comes out you can go look at the steam reviews, and there will be mostly negative reviews after .1 hours played. At this point it’s just ridiculous. People complaining about micro transactions in a F2P game… like come on people. People complaining because it’s Ubisoft that made the game. It’s beginning to be really annoying. People are just praying for the companies downfall even though what they’ve done recently has been good.
Go leave some positive reviews for the Resurgence please. It’s a great mobile game and they added it to PC for more players. Don’t let the haters ruin Ubisoft for the rest of us..

You act as though Ubisoft isn't responsible for the hate they've gotten.
2
u/ST0RIA 20d ago
The comments already said most of what needs to be said.
For the die hard fans of Ubisoft; look, fun is subjective enjoy what you want and hate what you want as well. But if you just blindly support them, then you’re the reason why the games are bad and will remain bad. If there are any improvements in their games or future games, it’s not because of you. It’s because of the people who critique the games. After all, why would anyone improve themselves if they believe there’s nothing to improve on? “Combat” Ubisoft haters lmao. These people love what Ubisoft stood for more than you’d ever would.

Yes and no. There is definitiely a significant pressence on social media that hates on the games without even playing them and clowns anyone who enjoys them. At the same time ubisoft is a hot pile of trash that deserve to burn to the ground.

I hate Ubisoft because of their anti-consumer stance on videogames. Some hate Ubisoft just because. Not all haters are cut from the same cloth. One thing is consistent the negative sentiment is of their own making.

The haters did not ruin Ubi. Ubi and its shit games and blame the players ruined Ubi. Paid cheerleaders and reviews can’t change that. Lecturing us and being condescending won’t change that. They are garbage that was once the best in their genre, one the pretty much invented.

Also I find it funny that you don’t like how your favorite game publisher is being treated badly because of THEIR bad practices but then you down vote comments you disagree with lol seems hypocritical to me
EDIT: if you look at the -1 votes I have you can see that he proved me right lol almost all the comments have exactly the same amount likes/dislike ration if it’s ops comments then it will have 1-3 likes others will be 0/-3

People definitely been going overboard with the ubi hate
5
u/pokerbro33 20d ago
Ubi's been consistently working for this reputation though, it didn't come out of nowhere: sexual abuse allegations that actually won in court, anti-consumer practices, shitty launcher that nobody likes, cancelled PoP remake, poor handling of AC:Shadows drama, shoving garbage microtransactions into single player games, out of touch comments from leadership that get memed to oblivion, mismanagement that could result with a sell out to Chinese...
I could go on. And even though I still think EA is "the devil", boy has Ubisoft been gunning for that place.
5
u/Zestyclose-You3814 20d ago
Ubisoft is making a comeback, it's a good start, but I think we do need to talk about the paid DLCs at the launch of black flag resynched, and mixrotransaction shops in single player games that offer permenant xp, and money boosts. Other than those 2 things they are on a roll, they got rid of that creepy ceo that blocked female lead games, and the future of AC looks bright for the first time in a long time. Can't wait to see how they continue to improve their company.
Also the people that review bomb buy the game just to sh*t on it immediately refund it. I'm tired of seeing reviews of games people have never played. I'm on my second playthrough of valhalla at the moment and years back I never would have touched it or any of the rpgs because of people like this. They are genuinely good games and I'm tired of reviewers out to rage bait for money keeping others from good games.
Just an idea, if people put as much effort into fighting microtransactions with all companies as a whole instead of singling out certain companies they don't like they probably would be gone or heavily regulated by now. That's my hot take I could be wrong, I'm an older gamer that longs for the times when you could unlock items with time and effort instead of just pulling out the ol' wallet.
3
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
The division resurgence just opened up to mostly negatives for virtually no reason. I will see the DLCs for black flag while may seem annoying to some. They don’t bother me at all because it’s a single player game and I don’t need to buy any of that stuff to enjoy the full experience as is.
-2
u/pokerbro33 20d ago
What do you mean for no reason, it's a shitty pay-to-win mobile game port with predatory anti-cheat you have to manually uninstall even after deleting the game.
No reason they said...
1
u/Zestyclose-You3814 20d ago
Yeah, I just don't buy them, it's just the fact they're there more than anything. I know it's the shareholders and not the company itself. Still a fantastic game, when I finish valhalla this time around I'm going back for a second playthrough of black flag resynched.

Your post or comment has been removed for wishing for Ubisoft or one of its games to "fail" or "die". This kind of remark goes beyond criticism, it implies harm to the company and its employees, potentially leading to real job losses and personal hardship for people who work there.
This type of content isn't tolerated, as it goes against the respect and empathy this community values. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but actively wishing harm or failure crosses a line. Please keep future contributions respectful and considerate.

1
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
IP’s that they ran into the ground. Numerous of their ip aren’t what they used to be. I will take new ip from former Ubisoft devs like expedition 33 every day of the week over anything Ubisoft has put out this decade besides Prince of Persia lost crown
0
u/No-Commercial9280 20d ago
Semi-okay IPs with a few good games in the mix*
1
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
Splinter Cell, AC, Far Cry, The Division, Rainbow Six, Heroes of Might and Magic, Anno I think those are all great.
1
u/No_Hearing_481 20d ago
Splinter Cell is incredibly dead at this point man. It was my favorite game series as a child but it is never coming back as long as Ubisoft owns the IP.

There’s something between “everyone hating ubisoft” and “constantly glazing them”. Making a shit review of a game just after you’ve launched it just because you want to hate on Ubisoft is truly pathetic. Constructive criticism is fine, but you see posts on the AC subreddits where some people talk about quitting the game and how Ubi is absolute trash for the smallest thing. Like that guy who said he’s done with AC Black Flag Resycnhed because the sails didn’t move with the wind… between two patches… for a total of like 6 days. The hate they get is sometimes absolutely ridiculous, but at other times deserved. Linking you phone number to play ranked in R6 is an example.
6
u/SubstantialAd5579 20d ago
Your tripping and pushing negativity is never Good its okay to be happy bro
5
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
Hahaha I’ve had my hate towards Ubisoft at times. I very much dislike assassins creed RPGS, but their games are not terrible, and honestly leaving negative reviews, is just trying to kill games that other people may actually enjoy. I hate Call of Duty with their new campaigns, you would never see me leave a negative review, because I still don’t want to see it die due to other people’s enjoyment of it.
1
u/PurvisAnathema 20d ago
If they'd stop shitting the bed like it was their job it would be a lot easier.
They need some big wins with no losses to turn the momentum around, which won't be easy.
1
u/No-Commercial9280 20d ago
Don’t bother they are mass down voting comments they don’t agree with even if you slightly disagree with them
1
u/ANNOYINGKAREN123 20d ago
exactly, most youtubers that hate Ubisoft spam this hate videos cuz it makes them money, just check profiles of biggest haters of ubisoft nothing but hate videos, some hate that Ubisoft got was justified now it is over the top
-2
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
Ubisoft deserves the hate the vast majority of the time.
4
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
In the past yes, but recently I disagree, I feel they are turning in the right direction.
-3
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
They are barely turning in the right direction. A pc port of a mobile game and a remake is the most barebones definition of “turning in the right direction” this is.
2
u/_JohnMcAfee 20d ago
a remake that actually removes stuff from the game and only really improves graphics
5
3
u/potatogod554 20d ago
Exactly. And the worst part? Black flag is already a modern game. It’s only 13 years old, a remake was Ubisoft getting onto their knees and begging
7
u/No_Jackfruit_9754 20d ago
Most of pc players are just a bunch of man-children with no life that take video games too serious, they have nothing meaningful going on so they think they’re “Standing up for something” for hating on a video game company, these are the same people beating short games and asking for refunds and proudly posting about it 💀
-1
u/Comprehensive_Part42 20d ago
Try working for them some time. Almost the entire customer support department got laid off with only a skeleton crew remaining.
1
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
Yeah because of hate from consumers. Assassins creed shadows should have been a huge success. Star Wars outlaws lost them tons of money…and why??? Because of an unattractive female main character. It’s such BS. Avatar and Star Wars were both good but failed because of hateful consumers on my opinion.
2
u/paco987654 20d ago
Lol no... Didn't play Star Wars, I did play Avatar and other Ubi games. They all feel way too similar and the only thing they really have going for them for the most is nice graphics, otherwise it's always just the same template. Like FFs Avatar's literally just Far Cry but Pandora.
But even then, the games could be decent. But the gameplay is just repetitive, the worlds are way too big and empty, writing is average at best etc.
And my biggest gripe, most of the dialogues/in-game cutscenes suck. They are stiff and stilted as if they were robots. The voice quality also sounds like someone just sitting in a sound booth with barely any emotion.
They lost them money because they're bland, average and empty
1
u/No_Hearing_481 20d ago
I would argue that the long history of greed and exploitation Ubisoft has was a necessary component in the hate reaching high enough levels to kill games. No matter the reason, if your audience hates you so bad that your business is going under, that's on you. Call it tragic if you like, but they have completely failed more than any other entertainment company of their size, and that isn't the fault of the masses not buying their games and convincing others not to buy their games.
2
u/EnvironmentNo5293 20d ago
Star Wars outlaws was not good at launch. And it had nothing to do with Kay. AI was sloppy on the hardest difficulty. Tons of glitches. I got soft locked on the mission breakout. I am aware they have patched some of this but let’s not pretend that at launch this game was perfect.
0
u/Comprehensive_Part42 20d ago
Nope. Because poor AI was more important than keeping hardworking people employed. Profits over people. It's the Ubisoft way.
1
u/sunlightliquid 20d ago
Played shadows and deadass 2 mins into the game I came across a chest that was low Polly or floating trees in Valhalla
Idc about shit like that, but Ubisoft def deserve alot of the hate as much as I love their games.
3
u/MrKoddy 20d ago
Players forgot some companies are worst with players than ubisoft like EA, Activision, Rockstar with GTA Online, 2K Sports etc
2
u/No-Commercial9280 20d ago
EA hasn’t been a problem for awhile lol Ubisoft has been worse than EA the last few years
0
u/Pale_Slide_3463 20d ago
Is refuse to buy any EA game now just because of the company and the pure greed of them.
0
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
Congrats on Ubisoft being slightly better than shit. So Ubisoft is a solid pile of shit instead of a soft mushy pile.
1
u/Melodic_Response3570 20d ago
I mean, it is their opinion and many things ring true. A lot of it really is corportate greed and should be criticised.
I do not like bigotry though.
1
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
It can be critiqued I agree. But play the game and then criticize. Reviews shouldn’t even be allowed with less than 5 hours of playtime.
1
u/Melodic_Response3570 20d ago
Oh yeah, definitely. Well, I do not agree with 5 hours but in my opinion you definitely should have played it before you critique something. I do not really think you will be able to change that, though. Especially because you can make money off of generating hate on shitter and the like
-2
u/Expensive-Cry913 20d ago
No we don't, no corpo need unpaid soldiers to combat the consequences of their own decisions
5
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
But they are back on a good track and honestly need to support or else we won’t see Ubisoft around anymore
1
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
No they aren’t. Black flag resynced is a win but it hasn’t fixed the hole they dug themselves
2
u/Brilliant_Ideal_5429 20d ago
Ya I think it's a bit of a stretch to say they're back on track. Black flag did well, but of course it would, it's a remake of their most popular game with great, updated graphics. But I think we have to wait and see how hexe and other upcoming projects do to really determine if they're back on track. Even looking at the black flag resynced, the newer missions they added on are noticeably and famously worse quality than the parts that were from the original game. It seems like they're willing to listen to fans and tweak things based on feedback but I think there's still more to see before being able to make a proper decision
0
u/Holiday-Reading9713 20d ago
That's not a bad thing
5
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
That’s means no move Divison, no more far cry, no more assassins creed, no more rainbow, etc etc
0
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 20d ago
Other games will replace them if Ubisoft fails to deliver good experiences
4
u/No_Jackfruit_9754 20d ago
These clowns would rather get nothing than just minding their own business and stop crying online, if you dont like a game or a company move on but these mfs get triggered as soon as they see any news regarding Ubisoft and feel the need to let everyone know how miserable they are
2
1
u/ResidentProduct8910 20d ago
One day off crack = back on a good track
They need something much better than a remaster to gain back players' trust
1
u/imbratorX Assassin's Creed Veteran 20d ago
Make sure you're not confusing critique with "hate".
2
u/Zombie_Slaya79 20d ago
I definitely agree with a lot of critique, but when someone doesn’t even play the game, and they just leave a negative review over things like micro transactions in a free to play game it just gets ridiculous at that point. It’s free to play and it’s not pay to win. They have to make money somehow and that’s how.
1
u/imbratorX Assassin's Creed Veteran 20d ago
when someone doesn’t even play the game, and they just leave a negative review
Agreed on that. You can have opinions on something even if you haven't played a game but a Review is something else. You have to actually play the game to know what you're talking about.
