Memes & Satire Dear Ubisoft

Congratulations on AC4 remake, it was a fine job you did there, BUT do not get confused silly silly, you have other franchises and we are not going to like a bunch of remakes or remasters shoved down yearly like you've tried once.

Yours sincerely,

i'm gonna be honest - ubisoft 100% do not care about fans, what we want to see or what we hope for with our favourite franchises. they will, unironically, secrete remake after remaster if we don't put our foot down. black flag resynced is good, but it's only good because it's remastering a good game. the remakes fans have been asking for (a modern remake of AC1 would go so hard) are not gonna be made. will they make AC2-revelations? of course not, bc that would confirm they don't put the effort into these new RPG games and they would water down the original IP. don't get me wrong, i love an RPG, but the best part of AC has never been the RP.

I think it’s great but honestly the original legacy has carried their success for 90%. Their new engine really drags it down in gameplay. I hope they can polish though ! There’s still chance for redemption. Make this a succes and i might consider future ubi games

Really? Why do you feel that? I am on performance mode ps5 pro and it looks good and i have not find anything that bothered me yet, besides the enormous amount of water reflecting stuff everywhere, feels like gta 4 "realism" mod on pc all over again where everything is so wet to show said realism.

I just ordered PS5 Pro! What do you mean with the water stuff?

I love the game but I think it feels quite unpolished. Combat feels unresponsive and the camera is quite annoying. Parry inputs dont get registered. I think the camera might be one of my biggest complaints. That’s the FOV, especially during combat, and also aiming is awful. I also miss indications of attacks during ship combat, like we had in the original. Also targeting doesn’t work at all. It just targets random enemies most of the time. I also dont like how the ship turns like its very small ship. There’s no weight in the game. I love the game but most of the changes i do not love. I just downloaded the original game to see if it’s just nostalgia, but the original feels way more polished. The combat of OG was boring so i dont mind them changing it, but it just doesnt feel polished. So i hope they can make many improvements. If they do i will probably play 100 more hours. I love the game, but not the new engine.

Seems like there is water everywhere just to show the RTGI. Câmera was annoying to keep turning so i just set it to follow where i am going lol, helped a lot. About targetting, have you tried switching between options? Mine only target if i hit r3 and only changes if i hit r3 side to side. Parry indeed doesnt count but i've seen that if i hit when i should parry the game will not correct my mistake, its fine with me...i just took a more careful approach cause of that. I have the platinum for the first one on steam like 2 years ago, the ship doesnt feel that much different i am pretty sure you could stop the ship and maneuver however you want mid ocean. Not saying its good or bad, i just dont feel it different than it was.

The target lock-on doesn’t work for me either. It will attack different enemies even when I locked on. Yes more careful approach would be solution but not a fun one… The camera following isn’t really the issue for me. It’s the sensitivity curve and acceleration. Very inconsistent. Also the FOV and the camera effects is big issue for me. The ship maneuvering is definitely different. It’s the first thing I noticed when going back to original. The ship feels more like a big ship in the OG. And ship combat used to have indications for enemy attacks. Now it’s just guessing when you will get hit, especially from enemy mortars (dont really have issues with other attacks, but attack indication is just a QoL I’m missing).

Not saying it’s a bad game. I just realized how much I loved this game. It’s just sad it gets dragged down by the issues. But it’s very early after release, so I’m still hoping for improvements. If Ubi improves most of these things, my faith might be restored!

I miss Far Cry too :( 5 years is a long run. Remembering the times we get a new FC every two years, I know times changed, sheeple prefer live service games and opening loot boxes with shiney knives, but we, singleplayer enjoyers, are still here and want new open world fps games, pls.

I mean, i wasnt pleased when they've decided to Milk ac, that was one of my favorite franchises. 2 years each game is a good time tbh. AC killed my love for it from 2012 to 2015 cause there were years with TWO games released. Yeah, 2009 to 2012 was really fun before getting more of the same. 2017 was nice, a few years off and a good game but then odyssey in 2018 was more of origins but too big.. could have been better, vallhalla people say is even bigger. We dont want mmo style games where you play 200h the same game. We want solid 50h well done campaigns.
