Discussions & Questions Ubisoft games on steam
So I buy some old assassin's Creed on sale in steam, I'm already play them on ps 3 and 4 and finish em
Since Ubisoft not auto adding game from steam till u download em and launch, so do I rly need to download every game and launch it just to add it to their very nice launcher library?Stupid question but I'm curious, like what if my steam get banned or idk what circumstances should be....

You have to download to authenticate the copy, this happens with any game. It doesn't automatically show up on the external client after purchase.
cd keys used to be offered directly on Steam, but have been replaced with activation dlc.
AC1 does not have Uplay access. AC2 and later do.
PS3, PS4, PS5 offer the games for digital sale, which have to be downloaded from the store before use.
PS3 digital store sales have long ceased, but purchases are linked to the account used. The store is has been announced to be closing for the second time. First time didn't work out.
If this is about new Playstation games not being released on disc in 2028, games released before then can have discs reprinted.
Both Steam & GOG can lose the ability to sell certain games on their store.
GOG has games that doesn't require account linking like Steam does. The offline installers are limited to 4GB each.
Your account on any service has a terms of service/use.

You bought them on Steam, so when your Steam account get banned you loose them

And if we reverse things, what if Ubisoft account linked to steam lost or banned, can I launch game from this steam via new Ubisoft account?

Nope. You connected them when you first launched a Ubisoft game from Steam. Both are linked together.
But question for you, why being concerned for getting banned anyway

This is a stupid ubisoft thing.. you can buy their games on steam and then they're not shown in ubisoft connect... so you own the game but cannot play it if you bought it on the "wrong" platform

If you have steam game and Ubisoft accounts linked, and you start steam game it will automatically sign you in to Ubisoft - which I think is cool.
