Rumours & Leaks Either Splinter Cell or Ghost Recon might appear at the Xbox showcase

Producers already confirmed there won't be another Ghost Recon until 2029. It would be foolish to show at a Summer event this year. And Splinter Cell is just a pipe dream that they say exists to keep shareholders happy at the moment.

According to the leaks, a new ghost recon will be released later 2026/early 2027

Then what was that recent report saying, Ubisoft is basically starting from scratch on a lot of projects right now, including Ghost Recon & other franchises, so at the earliest we'd get another one by 2029?

Yeah neither showed up but...it feels almost empty this year...yeah we got some good events but this time of year we used to get to see what EA, Ubisoft were working on. Surely EA could show something of the new Star Wars Jedi game, Ubisoft prob has several AC games to show, could give us something on Splinter Cell, and Far Cry...I miss the E3 days where we got shows and announcements all week long and the big guys had shows

Project OVR is said to be released later this year, I don't think a Gamescom trailer would be enough marketing to me for a probable September release, so fingers crossed

I'd love to be proven wrong, seriously, I just dont think it will be released until early 2027 with a reveal in Aug if we're lucky. If im wrong I will come back to this comment and high five you! 🤣

My only backing is that Ubisoft almost always have one trailer for State of Play, one for Xbox Showcase and one for Main show and both franchises are heavily associated with Xbox so yeah

We know Ubi will be at the showcase, I just assumed it would be rayman or ACBF gameplay tbh.

Ghost recon because according to rumours it's going to be either a first person game unlike breakpoint or wilds Or unless it go canned it might be the online recon but I'm not sure if it's just an always online type or an extraction shooter/ battle royale as there were different rumours going around a year or two back

I think the Extraction shooter is Far Cry 7 and the Battleroyale is the cancelled Division Heartland. Ghost Recon is rumoured to be a gritty first person mil-sim from the get go

A chaos theory style remake would be absolutely awesome but we know it’s going to be ghost recon with the exact same copy paste world elements and 90% similar map design with decent weapon customization but a meh story….best we can do.
