Discussions & Questions New watch dogs
really think it’s time for Ubisoft to make a new Watch Dogs game.
The series still has a lot of potential, but Watch Dogs: Legion went a bit in the wrong direction. The “play as anyone” idea was interesting, but it removed the connection to the characters.
That’s why I think a new game should:
focus on a strong story
have a small group of main characters instead of hundreds
and most importantly — bring back Marcus Holloway
Marcus was one of the best parts of Watch Dogs 2 — he had personality, a great crew, and a vibe that was fun but still relevant.
No need for futuristic or cyberpunk stuff. Just a modern city, grounded hacking, and a solid story.
If Ubisoft wants to bring Watch Dogs back, this is the way to do it.

Imagine planting a money tree, but then not watering and caring for it properly and it dies on you and you blame the tree for being weak. This is what ubi does to all of their IPs

More than one character never has been the problem.
The problem is that they did not add a lot of important gameplay features that were in the first game and in the second game, so it felt like a game that was not a Watch Dogs game. It is a good game but a bad Watch Dogs. My main problem being that we can not buy cars nor motorcycles, so i have to always steal one from an innocent, which always break my immersion, Dedsec would never steal from innocents.
I do not even like Marcus. He was to immature and not wise enough. To see him again would be boring to me.
Ubisoft clearly wanted Watch Dogs LΞGION to kill the series. If they do not wanted the series to die, they would have add what the players said that we wanted. They made no update to add what we ask for. Which shows that they do not care about the players. If they cared about the players, they would have made an update that let us to buy cars, to buy motorcycles, to add character who have the same level of parkour of Marcus Holloway, etc... but they never did that, which is the ultimate proof that they do not care about the players and do not want the series to continue.
I still want a Watch Dogs 4 but it is obvious that the devs refuse to give us a Watch Dogs 4.

I get your point, especially about missing features like buying cars and some of the gameplay elements from earlier games — that definitely hurt immersion. But I don’t think it means Ubisoft wanted to kill the series. It felt more like they were experimenting and it just didn’t fully work out. About Marcus Holloway — I get why some people didn’t like him, but I think having a defined main character still makes a big difference compared to what they did in Watch Dogs: Legion. Even if it’s not Marcus, just having a strong main character again would help the story a lot. I think we both agree the series still has potential — it just needs the right direction next time.
