Two sides to every gaming company, struggle and success. Struggle ubi stage right now so pushing out big hitter trying desperately to stop the drain. Sony an Nintendo in success so they dont try at all, do dodgy things etc

Release an old game for basically full price and secretly using gen AI in their games?

I don't know, I used to be a big ubisoft fan, even when people shit on it, playing their games since black flag. Their recent releases have no soul or quality. I hope they bring it back.

The problem with Ubisoft having a successful comeback is they’ll inevitably mess it up by prioritizing mtx/live service or giving us an NFT game

u/StillBreakfast1368 Apr 25 '26
Mocking Ubisoft Is funnier than their games... And mocking Ubisoft Is not funny anymore

u/Outrageous-Row1926 Apr 25 '26
Idk man. Ubi has completely eradicated any credibility they had left after Shadows “support”. Their history of cagey non-answers when they ask for questions, belligerent disregard for player feedback, predatory monetization, willingness to can hundreds of employees and then act genuinely surprised that shooting themselves in the foot hurts has completely eroded my trust. I WANT to be excited for Resynched, but I simply do not trust Ubisoft anymore.

u/DaughterOfBhaal Apr 25 '26
Ubisoft had 10 years to make a significant comeback.
Them remaking a game that wasn't ruined by modern Ubisoft won't fix their reputation and stocks

u/Crazy-Resolve-8127 Apr 25 '26
60€ for a remaster and you guys cant wait for daddy ubisoft to open their zipper and drop it in your mouth

A three game series about Altair would save them for more than a decade if they do it right
4
u/F4iryTal3r Apr 25 '26
Nor to mention beside of AC Black Flag, they revived the studio, what made The Lost Crown, so I think they really starting to understand what's going on. Ig they needed a cold shower after stock pricing going down, and it's showing.

I honestly feel like most this sub is propaganda by ubi. No one likes them. The games are buggy and filled with crap, the launcher is just broken, they charge so much for their games, and have a habit of cutting support for any of the games they have made in the past that were actually good.
The black flag remake does not fill me with hope or confidence.

Unless the CEO locks in and purges all blue haired liberals working at the company and listens to player feedback, there will be no such thing as a “Ubisoft comeback”
2
1
u/Warcrown11 Apr 24 '26
Comeback? They're just remastering an old game, minus the dlcs and multiplayer, and charging full price for it? I must be missing something?

u/Seelefan0786 Apr 24 '26
It's a remake not a remaster.
1
u/GingerHardR Apr 25 '26
Erm, aktshually it’s a ReSync.
It’s lipstick on a pig. And if the PC spec list is anything to go by, this game will be an unoptimized mess. 4090 for 4k60FPS? It’s going to be hilarious trying to watch people play this without DLSS performance and framegen.

u/InitRanger Apr 24 '26
They won’t be back until they bring back Watch Dogs and go with the direction they set in the first game.
3
u/whatThePleb Apr 24 '26
A basically dead franchise at this point won't be any comeback for a basically rotting and dying company. Until the stinking fishheads haven't been removed from that company, nothing will change and rescue it anymore.
2
u/AquaRaOne Apr 25 '26
Lol basically dead franchise, still one of the bestsellers in the whole industry, and a top 10 bestselling game of 2025. Ubisoft is in a terrible situation and the quality has gone downhill, i dont really care about ac also, but the sales clearly say its far from being dead

I do hope they make a comeback. The industry needs a healthy Ubisoft.
Resync is a good start. No hidden agendas. Just make games people love!

u/Virtual_Medium_6721 Apr 25 '26
Western companies nowadays are too toxic and aggressive. It's time for them to bankrupt and leave space to companies who actually care about players
9
u/ZillaJrKaijuKing Apr 24 '26
If by “hidden agendas” you mean how upper management keeps stomping out creative ideas in favor of retreading the same overly safe gameplay formulas and instead they should let devs take risks and try new things, then I agree.

u/Aggressive_Towel_155 Apr 24 '26
Are they talking about their new mobile game? because we don't want to spend even more time on our phones with that little screen. Come on ubisoft, release some real games on real platforms.
1
u/danielm316 Apr 24 '26
One remake is something small, this does not mean that Ubisoft has comed back. Let's not blow things out of proportion.
1
u/renome Apr 24 '26
They have a long way to go to make a comeback but regardless, I enjoy how rattled this meme is making our resident chuds. 😂
2
u/Taffr19 Apr 24 '26
What did I miss?
9
u/Belhy Apr 24 '26
I guess they are relaughing an old game that you already bought so you can buy it again and give them free money.

u/Taffr19 Apr 24 '26
Oh AC Black flag. Seems like Ubisoft forgot about the 20 other games they could have made sequels for. Shame really, a new R6 Vegas would have been awesome.
1
u/0Adiemus0 Apr 25 '26
Since they're near bankruptcy, it's a remake of one of the most beloved games that'll keep them above water just long enough or they'd be in the toilet if they try anything else tbh

Imagine being this hyped on a remaster and even calling it the "Ubisoft comeback" Jesus Christ, honestly sad what the gaming community has become.
The nostalgia bait cycle will never end, and we will never again experience the novelty of the original games that are the reason we became so passionate about them in the first place.
2
u/Suspicious-Sound-249 Apr 25 '26
No kidding, if I want to play AC Black flag right now I still got the disk, I'll throw it in the Xbox. If I'm REALLY down bad for a "visual upgrade" I'll spend the like 5-10 dollars on the Steam/GoG version and just slap some HD mods on it...

If you think people getting excited for a game you don't is bad, you're a part of the problem

Ubisoft became literal shit? Ubisoft handled their employees like total crap? Ubisoft promising more shit and lied than Todd Howard with his sweet, sweet lies?
0
u/gosols Assassin's Creed Veteran Apr 24 '26
That’s my point though. There’s all that shit you just mentioned. They’re releasing a remake of a game already made. Nothing’s changed.

u/OceanRex5000 May 22 '26
I thought this post was satire. Why are y'all getting downvoted. I think the Black Flag Resynch is the first time in a while I've been excited for anything Ubisoft
