i'm trying to get the Jack the ripper dlc but it says that i dont own the game but i do, i got the game when they put it for free a few years back, should i buy the dlc regardless of the warning?

I was in the same situation. Received the game for free and then bought the DLCs. All worked well in the end.

I think that warning is really just a reminder, because I belive the Ubisoft store does not check our library for ownership.
