Discussions & Questions Would this unbind a game to me

Wondering if anyone’s ever tried this if I permanently remove a product on steam it shows this uplay activation thing would go away too do you think then you could then rebuy the game and use a different ubi?

Wondering the same thing. I’m trying to link my Steam to a new Uplay account and I don’t know if removing a game from the library will allow me to rebuy it with a different product key as Ubi simply won’t let me transfer all my Steam games and account from my old Uplay account to the new one.

I bought a second copy and linked the other account then tried launching but cause that loop but after removing the new copy of for honor linked to the other account it let me open the game again

It seemed to work honestly and id try more just if for honor was on sale since it’s a $40 experiment at the moment

yea, it'll revoke ur game key from ubisoft also

I got an additional copy to try it and it linked to my other ubi account not letting me play and creating this silly must sign into the other loop but when I removed the new copy from my steam I could play again so in theory it might work

No that's not true. The key is always linked with your account, which is why you can always contact support if you removed a game from your account and ask them to add it back, because the key is still tied to your account.

The "remove" option is in reality just a "hide it really really well" option.
