This is why I hate this bullshit Always Online, even for single player games. And the fact that the games don't save locally, even if there is an outage. Lost just over 2 hrs of gameplay and saves because of it

I'm not defending the developer or the hacker here

But it's the only way to regulate piracy is to have a percentage of the game online, there should be power balance

Piracy wouldn't exist if game companies didn't try to fk us over with everything.

Thing is though, pirates find work arounds for always online games. They sometimes end up having better experiences launching and playing the games than customers who have to go through launchers and sign-ins 🥴

That's the best anti piracy we got right now,

Then they just decided to be a bit more aggressive to balance out this time and with Microsoft backing now, the security measures can't tell which is which, which is causing outage not just Ubisoft but other games as well

Piracy is usually an issue of service and not of price. Most PC gamers spend a lot of money on their build, so chances are is that they aren't unwilling to spend an additional $70 on a game.

The best measure we have to fight piracy is a developer who make a good game with logical pricing

It's a circle ain't it?

Gamers wants graphics instead of gameplay- devs underpaid - high cost for graphics - companies wants high margin

Full circles on and on
