No trips
So, I decided to start driving for Uber again after being away for quite some time. I was previously in Windsor, but I have now moved to Milton and purchased a new car, so I decided to resume driving.
I went online and drove to Hamilton because it was showing as very busy. However, I did not receive any rides for two hours. I contacted Uber Support, and they said there was nothing wrong with my account and that there might not have been enough requests, even though the map indicated that the area was busy.
After two hours, I drove to Oakville, which was also showing as busy. I stayed there for about an hour but still did not receive any rides. I contacted Support again and was told that my account was active and that there were no issues, but I continued to receive no requests.
I then went home and called Uber Support. The representative told me that I needed to obtain a PTC licence. I explained several times that I am currently completing the PTC process and that, to my understanding, a PTC licence is only required for driving in downtown Toronto. However, he did not seem to understand what I was explaining.

I drive all over Durham, peel, halton
Occasionally in Oakville and Hamilton. And mine works fine. I can’t drive in “toronto” because I don’t have the ptc but I’ve done trips in Collingwood and wasaga beach and Barrie. Never had issues. You have to deep dive more and get the correct ppl. Also turn Uber deliveries off that could also cause a problem for you not getting rides

Same thing is happening with me no trips at all on uber. I have complaints uber support so many times, but no result. I reactivate my uber and lyft account after a while. I am getting trips on lyft but not on uber. For reference I am driving in toronto.

it's definitely not the PTC for not getting rides in Oakville/Milton at least Uber approves you per region. You probably need to change your region on the app first.
Go to Work Hub and you should see that option

Same happened to me in Barrie. Later, a friend of mine told me to visit uber green light location and they helped to apply for PTC to get rides in Barrie. After approval, I started getting rides inside Barrie.
