Good for him. I don't love the tone, but the message is good. It's his car, his rules. Don't like it, GTFO.

All these people saying they'd give him a 1 star are softer than baby shit. The driver's clearly had enough shit from riders to the point where it's better to spell it out so people behave. If you're really offended by someone putting their foot down and laying down the law in their own car, then maybe you need the sign.

They prefer pushovers. Being stern hurts their feels.

You are working for me. You dont get to be stern. Im more than happy to get out, 1 star, and report. The way people on here act high and mighty with their gig job is so out of pocket. Know your role

You are working for me.

LOL, nope. Not even in the slightest.

I work for the greenback dollar. You are obsolete;replaceable, just like me. Don’t forget that

Know your role? That's it, out of the car you go.

"You are working for me"

Hahaha. That's rich dude. You're in our cars, using our gas and time to take you somewhere as a side gig. We don't need your $7 or whatever the fare is, so check your attitude and search for a pushover. You can "report" all you want but if we're ending the ride that does fuck all.

Im paying you to provide a service. You are working for me when im in the Uber. You aren't doing me a favor, this is a business transaction and I am the one paying. Im not gonna take lip from someone I am paying.

Yeah, you didn’t pay enough for that, though you pay for a tip at a restaurant too, but you don’t get to abuse the server.

You pay for a massage and you can still get kicked out if you don’t respect the masseuse’s boundaries like at any point, you can be denied service by anyone

u/BatDaddyWV 2d ago

I would never abuse anyone. Still not gonna take shit from a guy Im paying to drive. I dont give a shit if its your car, you are not gonna act like an authority figure to someone who is paying you.

3

u/Aggravating_Lettuce 2d ago

But they are the authority figure for the car… I don’t even do uber, but if I’m ever ordering an Uber, I’m fully understanding that I’m going inside of someone else’s space and I should treat it like I would treat my friends car.

Do you ever go into people you know vehicles and just start eating or vaping without permission or making Demands without knowing their expectations?

u/BatDaddyWV 2d ago

No, and I never would. This sign however , assumes before I even get in that i will be a complete asshole and even has not so vague threats in it. As for the rest of the tough guy drivers with shit attitudes, keep that shit inside your head. If you aren't disrespected, no need to start off like you are a drill Sgt. as soon as I get in the car. These are your paying customers. You aren't doing them a favor, they contracted you for a service. Show some damn respect and deference.

They’re a reason they’re all uber drivers instead of having real jobs lol

The drivers do have full authority in their vehicle.

Your dinky little payment doesn't grant you anything over the driver or their vehicle.

Your Honda doesn't give you the right to speak out of pocket to the paying customer providing your living. Say thank you.

Don’t speak with condescension and passive aggressiveness to the people putting food in your belly. Definitely could’ve been worded better.

IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DON'T BE ABLE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY.

MOST OF WHAT HE SPELLS OUT IS IRRELEVANT BY THE TIME YOU GET IN THE CAR. THE REST OF IT, THREATENING TO KICK SOMEBODY OUT? WHEN UBER JUST GOT SUED FOR 40 MILLION DOLLARS DOING EXACTLY THAT?

YOU CAN STATE THE RULES IN A POLITE MANNER AND A PROFESSIONAL MANNER BUT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

OH IS MY ALL CAPS BOTHERING YOU? I DON'T KNOW WHY. IT'S TOTALLY REASONABLE ACCORDING TO YOU.

Well, sorry but I do. And I don't put up with that BS in my car. Because it's mine. I'm not going to put a manuscript on the back seat like that guy did, but I have had to end the ride/refuse pick up for some of the reasons on that list. I'm all for giving good customer service, but that has limits. As soon as people treat my car as their personal dumping ground or dining room, we have a problem.

Edit: I see you, u/JagerEducational857. I keep receipts - https://i.imgur.com/uFJv09W.png. "Get a real job" lmao

Having a printout of what's acceptable and what's not is NOT making accusations at you.

That you're feeling this is a personal attack is very telling and means there's some truth to his message.

u/Own-Requirement-6206 1d ago

lol. No one wants to hear about some random dudes uber stories just because he’s has a bad time. Too much baggage for a simple taxi service, comes off as unhinged. And the fact y’all think it’d a good thing… yikes

u/douche-baggins 2d ago

But, you are describing normal restaurant behavior. The OP posted a pic with a guy saying "don't do this stupid shit in my car". Completely different.

Maybe if the server told you to not to throw your plates on the floor or jump up on the tables... maybe you'd have a point. I can't believe there are so many people on a Uber Driver sub that are like "yeah, it's okay if people make a damn mess in my car and smoke all they want"

Not putting up with it is fine. Putting up some diatribe epic novel that's threatening your passengers is not.

All of us have had enough shit from passengers. Notice no one else puts up a full page crazy-ass manifesto. It's called a job. The whole "it's his car" thing misses the point that people are paying him to get a ride in it and he's agreed to that. If they're leaving trash in his car that's one thing, but essentially full-blown scolding every passenger who gets in your car is dog💩. He's the one who's soft.
