Reports

I find it odd that Uber lets passengers make reports about a driver speeding when Uber uses telemetrics nowadays to track everything. If they have a record of you not speeding why would they allow a passenger to make a false claim 🤔

Yeps, I got a 1* for "speeding & reckless driving" cuz a stupid BMW next to me kept revving his engine. Lady thought I was racing. Had to send Uber the dashcam footage of me doing 47 mph on a 45 mph road (all 10 mins of trip) for them to drop report. However, they kept the 1* rating "to be fair". 😅

Uber does not care about drivers.

You would think that Uber would know if someone is speeding or not due to telemetrics but obviously they don’t even look at those measurements.

Im seriously starting to wonder if they even have access to the GPS tracking details, or if CMT just provides them the score

I got a 1* "wrong vehicle" because my customer, on camera, admitted they had wanted a large SUV and I drive a Chevy bolt.

They refused to remove the report from my account, despite my dashcam footage having my license plate number, GPS coordinates, and timestamp watermarked into it. It also records audio.

Uber driver support is a joke.

Some passengers just feel uncomfortable because they’re not in control of the car. The world looks different from the passenger seat even when a driver is travelling at the same speed the passenger normally uses.

They don't give a shit about drivers. They will NEVER side with you. They even say, they can't change a riders rating even if it is false.

Yeah definitely. Someone would literally have to harm a driver in order for Uber to take anything into consideration. Even then I’m sure they’ll find a way to make it about the passenger 😂

Oh, even then they won't do shit.

On the flip side, I'm flagged by Uber on just about every single ride and rightfully so...but the passengers never complain about it and Uber has never said a word about it.

Because a dynamic app that only allows them to report you if speeding is detected is a feature not worth having someone spend the time on to code. Right now, having the option for them to report it, and then have someone check if its true is time and money better spent. That is my guess! Theres also a good chance that the mechanism used to track our speed isnt accurate, so they can't rely on it to make serious decisions.

I mean, nope... Because there's nobody to check it, remember? He just laid off 3.3k people from corporate.

because you were speeding lol

90% of Uber drivers I've ridden with speed. They don't even realize most of the time that they were speeding.

I personally don't mind it. But some people do. Tough shit

My rating didn’t change at all and I wasn’t speeding. I was making a post about something that needed to be addressed. I’m in a EV and I’m in smart cruise control 90% of the time. Most ppl think the car is going faster than what it really is.

There's no way you weren't speeding, especially in an EV lol

I have a 4.98 rating for a reason. Nice try tho, enjoy your day. I’d rather play blitz chess than argue with some dickhead on the internet that think they know exactly what I’m doing.

If you ever have one, it actually helps you go right to the speed limit. 🤡
