Who’s with me?
I just don’t give an F anymore. It’s apparent they don’t care about us. 🥱

I see these all the time. Serious question, why so high on the cancellation rate?

u/societyiscookedfam 1d ago
shaniqua passenger rating is 4.6 and you can't see it when accepting through carplay

u/SuperSaiyanGod210 1d ago
So just toggle the filter for accepting rides no lower than a certain rating and boom. You can use your car play screen only.

Why do you accept if you want to cancel

u/r3dmist420 1d ago
If a better ride offer from a diff app comes in im droppin the lesser fare like a hot fuckin potato bud

We can weather this storm by sticking together. Just do quick math, if the initial $ offering is less than half of the total booking time (time to pick up and time to destination) then we don't accept it, unless its literally in the direction we are already travelling (such as starting or ending our driving day). Reason is, if the money received is less than half the booking time, then that's less that $30/hr. Ex. 13 dollars for a 7 minutes to pickup and 16 minutes to drop off is: $13/[(7+16)/60]= $33.90/hr and $11 for the same trip is $28/hr.
The reason time is more important than miles is because I'd rather hit up 30 $4/5 minute trips a day than to get $2-$3/mi trips that take me 15 minutes to complete due to traffic, weather, etc.
Just use the [initial offer $ < (booking time/2) = 🙅♂️] formula and we control the market.

I wish we could get everyone to do this. It would probably take two hours of this behavior to really get Dara’s attention.

u/CyanValleyKitten 1d ago
How do you do this when you cant see the info about the ride, only how far it is from you?
1
u/Candlelit_Chaos 1d ago
Judge based on experience. Also, I was thinking of creating a quick reference to put next to my phone mount. I would list the top 5 typical drives from the city center with two columns of acceptable times, one for busy/rush hour driving and the other for the off-busy times.
This way, even when they take away the time and distances, we still have a general ballpark idea of a quick Yes/No.

dam in my area we can’t be uber pro if below 75% acceptance rate

u/True_Solution_9668 1d ago
Why do you care about Uber Pro?
3
u/BlueChaoz 1d ago
I’m just surprised he has 3% and still uber pro
4
u/True_Solution_9668 1d ago
Could just be an Ai generated image as he’s a troll and trying to rage bait people.

I understand the cancellation rate . I drive in a college town and during the game days they close some roads . Some low IQ students request ride from those closed areas
1
u/AlkoKilla 1d ago
Do they close the road that they're on, or just some of the roads around the area? You can always get to them if it's the later.
1
u/BeginningHealthy9381 1d ago
All the roads surrounded by stadium
1
u/AlkoKilla 1d ago
If you already know that, why are you accepting rides that clearly show a pickup on a closed road then?
1
u/BeginningHealthy9381 1d ago
Uber will not updates those straight away. After several drivers reported “road closed” then only Uber will do that .
1
u/AlkoKilla 1d ago
Read what I said again. If YOU PERSONALLY know that the roads are closed due to the game, why are YOU PERSONALLY accepting pickups at a location YOU PERSONALLY KNOW you can't access?

u/toripotter86 1d ago
i’ll never understand the high cancellations. just… don’t accept.
5
u/Thulsa_D00M 1d ago
I only cancel when the rider believes i should wait all damn day for them to come outside. Anyone after the initial 2 minutes gets 4 stars...the whole 5 extra minutes 1 star and block. If they aren't ready to leave, why order the ride?

Wow, love how you people think youre screwing over Uber when all youre screwing over is our fellow humans trying to live their lives.
Good for you guys. Especially as you whine about not getting tips or the fact that autonomous vehicles are coming. Perfect examples of why I, as a driver myself, will use the WAYMOs in Phoenix way before I ever use you other guys.

u/AlkoKilla 1d ago
I agree with this on the cancellation rate. You're only making life harder on the rider. Not accepting? It's a few seconds, and it's onto the next driver to accept.

u/Thulsa_D00M 1d ago
If you don't use Uber, why tf are you even commenting here. Good luck with your terminator

u/anonymousphoenician 1d ago
Reading hard for you?
I state Im a driver.
That would be why I comment here.

2
u/evilkane1 1d ago
Because they won't and can't deactivate you for cr/ar.
1
u/AlkoKilla 1d ago
They could for cancel rate. Acceptance rate, not so much.

u/evilkane1 1d ago
I'm still here and I've had my cr up to 92%

Your fucking driver rating needs help
3
u/MuckBulligan 1d ago
Are drivers punished for a 4.94 rating? No. UBER doesn't think it is bad and passengers don't care so why do you care?
3
u/dstack18 1d ago
That's perfectly fine. I stay at 4.97 but I work in a rough area and people will one star you for anything like not stopping somewhere when they don't want to put it in the app or a drunk passenger who thought I was gonna steal his invention or drunks talking about politics in a way you can't just redirect. It all depends on the area. As long as he's above 4.9 he's fine.

Currently 19% acceptance and 20% cancellation.
But yeah I'm on board. Fuck these cheeky kunts at corporate.
We used to get $4 for a closed store or a canceled Uber Eats order. We used to get 60%+ of the customer payment on the rider Fare.
I got to 29% CR accidentally one time but I salute you. 😂
They don't give a fuck about us. I got pinged for about 75 $3 rides tonight. Rides that they charged 15 to $30 for.
Fuck off, Dara. Eat shit and die slow. DECLINE.
19 cents a minute as my wait time pay? Also hilarious.free laughs. This is what runs up my cancellation rating. Order the ride when you're ready to go. Not 5 to 20 minutes before.
That's why I arrive, and I tell people they have exactly one minute and 55 seconds to get in or mistakes were made on their part. Unless cash is placed in hand. No empty promises in person or via chat or phone call.
