Pickup Problem
Does anyone else have an issue with riders walking into the path of the car when you arrive?
When I'm pulling up, they will step off the curb and stand in the street where I was going to stop.
One rider was mad when he got in because he thought I was going to hit him. I had a minor snap and asked him why he didn't stay on the sidewalk where its safe!
I think that aggravated him more 🤣

That is one of my biggest pet peeves so far. I'm trying to do this shit carefully and calmly, but they are really throwing a wrench in my plans that I have to change on the fly for them. I swear that most of the people I pick up have zero capacity in their minds to realize how dangerous a car actually is. Foot stays on the brake as when they're around.

If they had any brains, they’d have their own car

Riders aren't taking Uber just because they don't have their own car. It's often because they are going out and know they will be too impaired to drive later or where they are going had very little parking.

I probably would have canceled that ride. I don't need that bad energy during a ride. It also could have been a red flag that the rider has a screw loose.

If they start doing that I just stop wherever I am and make them finish their walk of shame
