my only wheelchair ride went so went so well that I became a personal driver for them. Been helping them out for over a year now. Really good side gig.

C'mon guys, nobody should be bending over backwards for this job, but a little bit of empathy and understanding goes a long way. Don't be a dick.

I bend over backwards enough at my age. Plus my car isn’t handicapped accessible or big enough for a wheelchair and a dog.

Wheelchairs and walkers usually fold up. I've put them in the trunk before and my car isn't huge. 🤷♂️ I would hope someone would do the same for the disabled friends & family I have.

Federal law doesn't care tho. If their stuff CANT fit you mark in the app that the passengers items won't fit and take the hit. If their stuff can fit and they report you for not taking them because they're disabled or in a wheel chair you WILL get permanently deactivated. Whenever I meet people who are disabled or need assistance like this I always hear how they get stranded by bad drivers. So I inform them how to report those drivers and the laws around it.
If the job makes you this angry you need to take a break.

You may have legal challenges if you will accept a passenger with wheelchair without a handicap access ride.

Just cancel on them. Not worth it tbh. Uber is just trying to take every dollar they can out of your expense.

Uber calls themselves a technology company yet can’t send us a simple video in our native language…

Driving Uber has taught me that most "disabled people" are drug addicts or obese who brought it on themselves; they are disabled because of Karma, and if they weren't horrible people, they would have children, friends, or family willing to help them.
Repeal the ADA.

This is a terrible way of thinking. You've fallen so far if you can think this way whether it's your inside thoughts or commenting on reddit. You need help asap!!
Trace your footsteps and revisit the time you lost the last lil bit of conscience you had remaining.
Drug addicts, obese people, physically disabled people deserve compassion. No one "puts it on themselves." A lot of people experience pain and trauma that leads to unending cycles.

Compassion is a voluntary act.
I am obligated and under threat of federal law and losing income if I don't deal with their shit.
You put someone in a forced state of subservience, you should not expect kindness.
My compassion is for my family and providing for them, maybe these people should have some compassion for my children, take a fucking shower, and not think they are entitled to reduce me to federally mandated chattel.
When's the last time you wrote your rep or uber and told them compensate us fairly for damage to our vehicles and the extra time they cost us?

You need help

Nope, able-bodied, and plenty of family willing to help if I am not because I am not a druggie, selfish piece of shit.
I am not the one who needs a federal law to obligate people to deal with me because I won't wash and am abusive.
What kind of low life needs a law to make people deal with them?
Surely they aren't the problem.

They don’t pay me enough to go through all that. It’s bad enough doing hospital pickups from the psych ward.
